The Dream realm and the Omniverse had a very simple relationship, they were two faces of the same coin, the dreams and feelings of the living creatures affected the dream realm shaping it and birthing life in it after an infinite amount of time had passed the Dream realm became what it is today, housing dream worlds and nightmare creatures of its own.
Unbeknownst to most creatures, the Dream realm had its own rulers and power struggles, even some true Born Gods had achieved Creation God level using the Dream realm as a ladder to climb the ladder of power,
every world, universe and multiverse had a dream space in this dream realm, it was like a nexus of power providing the dream realm with energy, dreams and feeling from all the creatures of the other side, and it was the Abyss dream space that was slowly being invaded by the Nightmare creatures of Cthulhu's Nightmare realm.
