Riding back to the hotel had brought them there by 11 p.m., and Xaviar was finally tired; he yawned continuously on the way back to the hotel, nearly unable to walk, but Jeremy Thompson showed no intention of carrying him.
Anna Ainsworth followed the father and son into the room, thinking about spending the night there made her inexplicably nervous. She kept her head down, not daring to meet Jeremy's eyes and deliberately kept her distance.
"Ah, I'm so tired," Xaviar exclaimed as soon as he entered, clamoring to go to sleep.
"Xaviar, take a shower first," Anna quickly grabbed the little boy as he attempted to climb onto the bed. He had been rowdy all day and must have sweated a lot.
"Will you help me shower?" Xaviar's eyes lit up instantly, looking at Anna.
Anna nodded. Xaviar was a 5-year-old child, and besides, it wasn't as if she hadn't helped him shower before. Thrilled, Xaviar jumped up and ran straight to the bathroom.
