Blue Star, 2012.
Inside a dilapidated office, the decor looked like something out of the 1970s—old metal filing cabinets, worn wooden desks, and those classic, stiff-backed wooden chairs that left your backside aching after a while.
Lu Haifeng sat there, feeling utterly helpless.
He had just transmigrated into this parallel world. From the memories flooding his mind, he realized that while this world resembled his previous one, a few significant differences stood out. For one, his country wasn't the Great Dragon Kingdom anymore—it was now the Great Xia Kingdom.
Despite the name change, the historical path remained similar: from primitive agriculture to slavery, through feudalism, and finally into the modern age. Today, the Great Xia Kingdom stands tall as a global power, with most industries thriving.
Except for two—automobiles and mobile phones.
The automobile industry here was severely underdeveloped, lagging ten to twenty years behind the world Lu Haifeng knew. The Great Xia Kingdom struggled, shackled by a reliance on foreign technology. No local brand had managed to break through and create a genuinely independent domestic vehicle.
As for luxury brands, there were no familiar names like BBA[1]. Instead, the world had Benma, Baolai, and Auto—brands that sounded prestigious but didn't come close to their real-world counterparts.
The mobile phone industry wasn't much better. Most people still use feature phones—flip phones, side-flip, and swivel designs. If a telephone played music and had a TV function, it was considered top-tier. Prices could soar to seven or eight thousand, yet people still rushed to buy them.
Smartphones? Still niche. It's not mainstream at all.
Six months ago, Lu Haifeng had received a call from home—his father was critically ill. He had no choice but to return and take over the family business.
From his memories, he knew he was now the owner of Huaxing Auto Parts Factory, which produced spare parts for major car manufacturers. Unfortunately, the factory could only handle low-end components due to technical limitations. High-end parts were all imported.
Despite its size, the factory barely turned a profit—just a few million a year.
Then, a friend who had studied abroad told him that mobile phone OEM manufacturing was incredibly profitable. Tempted, Lu Haifeng registered his own OEM company. With help from that same friend, he contacted another company through an intermediary. Everything seemed legit. He paid a symbolic 10% deposit and used the last of his factory's funds to buy brand-new production lines, stock up on raw materials, and hire and train staff.
Everything was ready.
And then—nothing.
The partner company ghosted him.
"Damn it! They gave up a five million yuan deposit to screw me over. How much do they hate me?"
After some time, he exhaled deeply.
Who would go this far to ruin me?
He stood up, walked to the tea table, and began making tea, hoping to calm his nerves.
Forget it—one step at a time. If things don't work out, I'll sell this place and return to the auto parts factory. Early retirement isn't so bad.
Just as he was about to flip the kettle switch—

[Ding! God-Level Technology Store now open]
A glowing panel appeared before him.
The interface was extremely simple—almost crude. It offered just one function: shopping. The store had four categories:
Automobiles
Technology
Aviation
Materials
The Automobile section had blueprints—body designs, engines, transmission systems, chassis, and entire production lines. There were also futuristic technologies like electric, hybrid, and oil-electric hybrid systems—all perfectly refined.
The Technology section was even crazier. It offered nanometer-level precision tools, chip fabrication tech, and even entire operating systems for computers and smartphones.
Most of the tech here had existed in his previous life but was mysteriously absent from this world. Some items were pure sci-fi—"black technology" from the future. The stuff he couldn't even name. Excellent, yes—but expensive. The most advanced tech costs hundreds of millions of points.
The kicker? He only earned 1 point per yuan of real-world profit. At that rate, affording the cool stuff would be a pipe dream.
Then, there was the Aviation section...
A Star Destroyer? Seriously?
He silently clicked the close button on that tab—not something he could afford right now.
First, save the company, or he'd be out on the street.
Lu Haifeng didn't consider himself overly ambitious. His only goal?
To be the wealthiest man in this world.
Anyone hearing that would probably explode:
That's not ambition? What is then?!
Still, the biggest hurdle right now is technology. With this system, he finally had hope.
"Um, System... is there a newbie gift pack or something?"
[Yes]
"Claim it."
