"He hit you?" he asked angrily, a fire igniting in his chest at the thought that Sofia Hamilton's facial injury was caused by Ryan Gregory.
Although she had covered it with foundation, he could still tell.
Sofia Hamilton quickly shook her head, "No, it wasn't."
"Sofia, are you still defending him? Tell me, hasn't he been treating you badly?"
"No, he hasn't mistreated me."
"Then what's the deal with the injury on your face? Could it be that you did it to yourself?" Arthur Baker said angrily, convinced it was Ryan Gregory's doing.
Sofia Hamilton couldn't explain clearly, so she simply stopped trying, "Arthur, things aren't the way you think. I can't explain it right now, please don't get involved."
"How could I not get involved? I can't just watch him hit you!" Arthur Baker said through gritted teeth, grabbing Sofia Hamilton's hand, "Is he threatening you? Is that why you don't dare to speak up? Tell me, I will definitely help you."
