She hurried out of the room, only to face a janitor head-on.
Sofia Hamilton's heart tensed, feeling guilty, and perhaps the janitor found her frantic expression odd and took a longer look at her.
She tried hard to maintain a calm demeanor as she walked past the janitor.
Though her face showed little turmoil, her heart couldn't stop pounding.
Even though she hadn't done anything.
But simply entering someone's room uninvited, regardless of whether you've done anything, already makes you the most suspicious person in the eyes of others.
Sofia deliberately turned her head away and quickened her pace, hurrying off.
She was in such a rush that, at the corner, someone suddenly came out, almost bumping into her.
It was too late to dodge, but fortunately, the person caught her arm, steadying her, and only then she realized it was Ryan Gregory.
Ryan looked at her with confusion, "What's wrong with you? You look so pale."
