"I don't mean to keep things from you," Samuel Johnson whispered into her ear, "but I'm afraid that if you knew, you'd be scared."
Amanda Smith reached out to hold his face, looking at him earnestly, "I won't be scared. It's when you don't tell me that I'm afraid. Tell me, what exactly is going on."
She patted his shoulder, encouraging him.
Samuel Johnson gazed into her eyes. Amanda had a pair of eyes as clear as water, gentle and moving. When she looked at someone, her focus was so intense it could make one forget to breathe.
He knew that the woman in front of him possessed the world's most tender and forgiving soul. After going through so much, she still chose to stay by his side, forgetting the past hurts he had caused her. That required an immense amount of love.
He felt a slight sourness in his heart and bowed his head, whispering, "A severe psychological disorder."
Upon hearing this, Amanda's heart tightened slightly, and she looked at him anxiously, "How severe?"
