Amanda Smith's eyes flashed with a dark gleam. She looked at Samuel Johnson and continued to ask, "These past days, the reason you've been leaving early and returning late, pushing back the wedding, isn't because of something else, is it? It's just that you have another woman outside, and you meet her daily in a hotel, right?"
Samuel's face turned pale, and he instinctively retorted, "No!"
"Then what is it?"
Amanda pressed on, making Samuel feel suffocated.
He hadn't expected Amanda to be so suspicious as to track him.
If only he had known... If only he had known…
What good was knowing now that it had already happened?
He felt somewhat powerless, his lips tightly sealed, saying nothing.
"You've cheated," Amanda stood up, walked over to Samuel, who was looking down, and held his pale face in her hands, suddenly shouting, "Samuel Johnson, what exactly happened to you? You'd rather have me think you're cheating than tell me the truth?!"
