Dinner is a simple affair. It's a stew, with some sort of meat in it, and a lot of vegetables. May eats her share quickly, and then asks for more. I oblige, and she eats that as well. Her appetite seems to have grown considerably since she came under my care. When I first found her, she barely ate at all - and never without a song before a meal.
Now she still sometimes demands those songs, but she hasn't done so in a bit. She was a little over thin before, but now she's putting on a bit of weight. Not too much, but enough to make those cute cheeks of hers a little rounder.
She is a messy eater. The stew drips down her chin and onto the front of her shirt. It's a bit of a mess.
She notices, and begins to wipe at her shirt with a cloth. "It's all. Dirty."
"Yes, it is." I agree. "But that's okay. We'll get it clean later."
May nods. "Okay." She smiles. "It's tasty."
"I'm glad." I chuckle. "Did you have fun today?"
