May is quiet as she eats her stew, but her mood has improved considerably.
By the time she hops off of my lap, any remnants of her sulking is gone.
She's off like a rocket. As if all her energy explodes out of her at once the moment her little feet hit the ground. She leaps onto Roland's lap, and then immediately off, and races around the room, her arms stretched out like wings. She's making a buzzing sound with her mouth.
Roland chuckles and ruffles her hair as she zooms past him. "Ya got some energy in ya, eh?"
"Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!" She says excitedly, running back to the table. "I wanna play!"
Is running around the room truly play?
She seems to be enjoying herself, though. Even if no adult can hope to keep up with her endless spring of energy.
"You just ate and you've got to burn off all that energy at once...?" I ask. "At least wait until you've digested a little or you'll be sick. Play quietly."
