Chapter 30 - The crown of struggle I. Part 5

Somewhere in the field, not far from the royal house

The Princess and Chise were on their way to the city in a carriage. Charlotte held the letter in her hands and constantly reread it. Chise suggested it.

— Maybe his code? I think I had some paper left.

— It doesn't work! I've been checking!

The princess clutched her face.

— I'm sorry... it seems that the nervousness of Holy is transmitted through the air. Here you go if you want to read.

Chise took the letter and enthusiastically began to read it.

— So,

"Dear Charlotte and her faithful friends!",

— It's not bad yet,

"There was a minor but big** incident at our last meeting,"

— Hmm...

"and that's why I want to offer a deal regarding...",

— The tedious part,

"I'll be waiting for you at 6 p.m.!"

— Does nothing come to mind?

— Well, we know the date – that's not bad.

— Mgm.

— He's waiting for us, which means he's at least not deadly.

— Maybe.

— But we're not going to make a deal, that right?

— Of course — the princess looked away.

— Hmm... So we can conclude and...

— And?..

— And I don't know. Usually Ange or Dorothy would figure it out. Also, this writing of yours, that's why the letters are underlined, do they change the meaning or what?

— Let me see it!

The princess looked at the letter and saw the underlined letter "B" in the word "big".

At that moment, the carriage stopped. The princess spoke.

— What happened?

— You'd better get behind me... — Chise said, unsheathing her katana.

The coachman's voice came from the street.

— You can't go in there!

— Princess!

A moment later, the door opened with the words.

— Princess Charlotte!

Chise immediately put the blade to Lawrence's neck. Charlotte spoke up.

— Lawrence?

— Don't scare me like that, or I'd have my head chopped off!

Chise put the blade away, and the sergeant spoke.

— And good day to you, O beautiful ladies!

— Without pampering, what did you want?

— What do you mean, what? To protect you!

— And what am I here for? Chisa crossed her arms.

— You hit, I shoot.. Everything is obvious here.

— Get to the point, Lawrence!

— In a nutshell, Richard is back.

— We know, he even left a letter of happiness.

The Princess handed the letter to the sergeant. Lawrence read it and spoke.

— Great, we have time, but we can easily find a place, I know someone who understands the area.

— Okay, then stay outside, give a little warning, and if at all, then you can shoot.

— As you wish, Princess Charlotte.

Chise sighed.

—Oh, I feel like neither Ange, nor Dorothy, nor the others will like this...

The headquarters of the "White Dove".

Svyat is tied to a chair in the middle of the room, while two agents and Billy are swarming around him.

At some point, Svyat wakes up with a groan.

— Where... Where am I?

One of the agents spoke up.

— This one's awake, go wake him up.

Billy nodded and nervously approached the Table.

— Oh, Billy. What brings?

Billy couldn't stand it and slapped him. Svyat stretched his face and spoke.

— Are you offended? Well, I'm sorry, we didn't know you worked there.

— You've been ruining my life forever, without asking anything.

— This is our job.

Billy raised his voice.

— And why was the warehouse blown up?! They would have taken what they had and left, but there was so much damage that I still have to pay for 10 years now!

— And that's where you're to blame!

— What?!

— Don't work on any shit..

— Are you kidding me? But of course, you're sitting here in the palace, chatting with the princess, and I'll look at your interesting work. And if you look at how much I was offered, then it's profitable...

— And who offered it?

— It's Rich... richy man...

Billy looked at the agents in horror as they aggressively watched what was happening. One of them pushed Billy away.

— Why are you messing with him?

Then, striking Svyat, he spoke.

— Tell me! Where are your weapons, data, and valuables?

Svyat, recovering from the blow, said with a laugh.

— Weapons are on tongue, data in the head, values are unstoppable...

The agent hit Svyat again, which caused the boy to bleed.

— Well, okay, okay, the lever on the left of the cabinet...

The agent, shaking off his hand, said.

— There we go...

After that, the agent went to the closet and, seeing the lever, pulled it. There was a click.

Suddenly, a metal tip protruded from the wall, which flew straight into the agent's groin. The man, writhing in pain, fell, making a squeak. The boy looked away so as not to look at the pain.

The second agent approached Svyat and, taking him by the collar, threatened him.

— I'll repeat it once. Where are the weapons?! And no tricks!

Svyat remained silent, but sighed and spoke confidently.

— In the cabinet in the bottom drawer, the key to the safe...

Billy went to the bedside table and intended to open the drawer, but the agent immediately stopped him.

— You can't fool us that easily!

And opening the penultimate drawer, he screamed in pain because of the extended blades.

— Oh, you fucking guy...

Suddenly the door opened. Everyone turned their gaze to the doorway. Svyat used it and, swaying in his chair, fell back.

At that moment, Steve rolled into the room and punched Billy with brass knuckles.

— Billy? Where are you from?

The second agent, bleeding profusely, attacked Steve.

Svyat was trying to get to the tomahawk stuck in the table. The first agent had recovered by this time and, approaching the boy, put a pistol to the Saint's temple.

— The last one... word.

— Do you know the saying?

— Which one?

— "A watched pot never boils."

The man looked back and saw the body of the second agent flying at him.

Steve went up to the Table and spoke.

— It hasn't been half a day, and you're in the shit again.

Steve took out a tomahawk and cut the rope.

— Oh, who would say...

— We'll talk about it later, where is Ange?

Svyat looked around.

— I do not know.

— How do you mean you don't know? You were together.

— Well, we were, then Richard was met right here, they were waiting for us, and then Zelda, and then I don't remember.

Steve sighed.

— Well, what do I need flour for, huh?.. Okay, Billy, take it, I'll tie these up for now.

Svyat examined Billy and picked him up while Steve tied the agents to each other.

After that, Steve picked Billy up and he and Svyat ran to the garage.

Suddenly, as soon as he was in the doorway, a mop headed for Svyat, but he dodged in time, and the blow hit Billy.

Lily was standing outside the door, looking scared.

— Don't move, I'm a-armed!

— Rose!?

— Huh? I'm Lily.

— ?..

Steve whispered.

— Daughter of the chief judge, you have been studying at the same school for a year...

— A-a-a

Lily nervously lifted the mop.

— Quiet! What are you doing anyway?

— Uh... we've been attacked.

— On you too?

— Yes! What about you? Did she run away?

— No, the princess's friend hid me in the pantry.

— Ange! And where is she now?

— I don't know, but when she closed me, I heard the sound of gunshots, and then the girl muttered something about St. James.

Svyat sighed.

— It doesn't give us anything.

Steve spoke up.

— That's enough for me... Miss Gavestone, if you please.

Steve handed Billy over to the girl.

— Please rewind it, it looks bad, but it's good at heart, it's just that you don't have bad luck with work. Beetroot, let's go...

— Wait! Ange dropped it.

The girl handed over the key ball.

Svyat spoke.

— That's why they were digging boxes, and I thought they liked me. Okay, thanks.

Steve and Svyat ran away, and Lily spoke.

— Hey, where are you going?

Looking at Billy, she pushed him away and he collapsed to the floor.

Svyat and Steve got to the garage, got into the car and drove off.

On the way, Svyat asked.

— So where to?

— To Big Ben.

— To whom?

— The clock is like this in the city center.

— Ahhh...

Steve drove off at high speed.

At this time, Dorothy and Beatrice were heading towards the academy.

Beatrice asked.

— Do you think something happened?

— For the first time, Ange didn't answer the phone at the specified time, so yes — "something happened"

— Maybe Holy just broke the phone and they're looking for a new one?

— He's afraid to touch it after he broke the line, so it's unlikely.

— I still hope that everything is good or satisfactory.

Dorothy wanted to turn at the intersection, but suddenly a car passed in front of them, which caused Beatrice to jump up. Dorothy went to get the car and spoke.

— That's good for you!

Steve, on the other hand, could hardly fit into the corners without slowing down. Svyat, barely able to restrain himself, said.

— Who taught you how to drive?!

— You're going to fly out now!

— Got it.

Due to the roughness of the road, Svyat jumped up again and almost fell out, but, holding on, flew only to the back seats. Looking up, he saw Dorothy and Beatrice following them. Svyat slapped Steve on the back.

— Slow down.

Steve looked back and slowed down.

Svyat moved forward and took out paper and pencil and scribbled something.

Beatrice and Dorothy caught up with the boys, and the latter spoke.

— What happened? Where's Ange?

Svyat, having finished, handed the note to Dorothy, who handed it to Beatrice.

— Uh... Richard... Zelda... Ange was taken away... Big Ben... they want something...

— Is it clearer?

— It's already verbatim, here "beetroot" is repeated 6 times in French.

— Okay, let's see.

Dorothy gestured.

— We're right behind you.

Steve kicked the gas into the floor.

The boys raced through cloudy London.

After driving a long distance, the guys noticed a car driving suspiciously slowly along the road..

The guys got closer, but suddenly the car accelerated and the chase began.

After a few streets, the car abruptly turned onto a step-by-step descent, the guys behind it.

After driving over the bumps, the car turned back into the alley, where Steve and Dorothy's cars separated.

Steve and Svyat continued the chase while Dorothy and Beatrice got on the tail of another car.

Once on the straight road, the car accelerated. Steve didn't lag behind either. Suddenly, the Saint felt sick, his heartbeat increased, and his breathing became difficult.

The kid started rummaging under the seat, opening the door, he took out one of the three sealed bottles and drank from it.

Steve looked at Svyat and spoke.

— Get ready!

Svyat drank some more and began to turn on the valve near the levers, putting the bottle away, he squatted down and picked up the sickle and kusarigama. Steve, holding the lever with his hand.

— 1...

Svyat hooked the other end of the kusarigama to his belt.

— 2...

Svyat turned on the key ball.

— 3!..

Steve pulled the lever. Svyat's seat sprang up and the boy flew straight to the car.

Svyat parried right up to the roof of the car and caught on the sickle and the end of the kusarigama.

At that time, Ange was tied up in the car, surrounded by Zelda and three agents. One of the agents, hearing the noise, spoke up.

— What is it? Are we being attacked?

Zelda took out her pistol with displeasure.

—Worse. Prepare yourself otherwise...

At that moment, Svyat burst through the window, making a complete farce in the salon.

Steve, watching from the side, and increasing his speed, spoke.

— Idiot.

In the cabin, Svyat crucified the agents, who in the confusion could not aim, and one even fired, but hit the roof.

Zelda screamed.

— Don't shoot!

Pressing Ange to herself and holding a revolver to her head, she spoke.

— Stop or I'll shoot her in the head!

Svyat stopped fidgeting, while being on top of two agents.

— Great... Now, hand over the key ball without any unnecessary movements.

Svyat looked at Ange, she shook her head negatively. The kid was embarrassed, but he held out his hand, which had a key ball on it.

At that moment, Steve rammed the car from behind and everything in the cabin turned over again.

Ange broke free and crashed right into Svyat, then she grabbed the key ball and increased the power, the car took off.

Everyone in the cabin froze. Zelda aimed at Svyat, but Ange kicked the spy away. Then Svyat, grabbing Ange, jumped away from the opposite window.

The guys flew out the window, where Svyat got rid of the car at a height and landed together with Ange.

Turning off the key ball and putting the girl down, he cut the rope.

The car landed hard at that time, causing the engine to explode. Zelda landed nearby with the help of her key ball, taking two agents with her.

Svyat stood up, took out his weapon and shouted.

— Well, come on, attack!

Zelda looked at the boy and flew away.

Svyat put away his weapon and, taking Ange in his arms, flew to Steve, who drove up.

At this time, Dorothy and Beatrice continued to chase after another car, but as they approached, it turned out to be a carriage. Dorothy slammed on the steering wheel.

— Damn it! We took a wrong turn.

— Dorothy, isn't that Lawrence sitting there?

— A?

Having completely overtaken the carriage, Dorothy noticed the sergeant sitting next to the coachman.

Lawrence saw the girls, waved, and then said something to the coachman.

The carriage slowed down, and then stopped altogether. Dorothy turned around and rode up to the carriage.

Lawrence jumped down and spoke.

—Dorothy, Beatrice... We have so much to tell you.

Beatrice asked.

— We?

The door opened and the Princess's head poked out.

— What happened? Ah... Princess, we have a transfer.

Charlotte got out of the carriage and, seeing Dorothy, immediately handed over the letter.

— Here, I think it's very important.

Beatrice approached the princess.

— Are you all right?

Charlotte hugged Beatrice.

— Yes, with me, but with us...

Dorothy, after reading the letter, said.

— How annoying he is, a Svyat less obnoxious than that red head.

Beatrice was indignant.

— Don't talk about Prince Richard like that, he's Her Majesty's brother anyway.

Charlotte smiled slightly.

— Brother... Brother redhead.

Chise spoke loudly.

— That's enough. Let's go to his red majesty.

The guys got into the car and drove away, leaving the driver without an explanation.

— Children... They're always in a hurry...
