Chapter 38 - 37. Magical Bond

"Did you know?" Alice was shocked. Ever since Tom had told her he was a wizard, she hadn't been able to think straight. Everything seemed like a dream. She couldn't believe it was real.

Alice repeated the word "knew," trying to understand. "How?" she asked, her voice shaking slightly.

"All the time we've been together, I've felt that some things were different," Tom said, his eyes fixed on Alice's.

Alice took a deep breath at Tom's explanation. "I wanted to tell you everything, too. But I was afraid. I thought my difference would push you away."

Tom took Alice's hand and moved closer to her. "Our differences bring us closer, Alice. In fact, they make us stronger."

Tom acted much as he had when he was a student at Hogwarts.

Alice squeezed Tom's hand. "Really? Can you accept me?"

"Absolutely," Tom said, looking lovingly into Alice's eyes. "If we're together, we can overcome anything."

At that moment, the bond between Alice and Tom grew stronger. They had accepted each other's differences, and that deepened their relationship even more.

"So what do we do with this new information?" Alice asked, looking into Tom's eyes.

Tom smiled and hugged Alice. "We can do anything together, Alice. Being with you makes everything easier."

Alice smiled at Tom's words and laid her head on his chest. "We can face anything together."

Tom put his arms around Alice's waist.

Alice and Tom remained embraced in silence. Tom's calm and Alice's silence had eased the tension between them. Alice still hadn't gotten over the shock of discovering that Tom was a wizard, but this moment showed how strong their love was.

"What should we do tonight?" Alice asked, her eyes sparkling.

Tom looked thoughtfully at Alice. "I want to spend the night together. Maybe we can spend some time together and become even closer."

Alice nodded in agreement. "I'd love that." She was excited.

Tom took Alice's hand and led her into the library. In the corner of the library was a table with various spell books and old parchments on it. "Tonight I want to practice some magic with you," Tom said with a determined look in his eyes.

Alice was surprised by Tom's proposal. "Magic?" Alice hadn't imagined anything like that. Although she was disappointed, she didn't say anything.

Tom smiled. "I know, but trying new things together can help us understand each other better. Maybe you have talents in that area too, who knows?"

Alice approached Tom's suggestion with curiosity. "Okay, what are we going to do?"

Tom picked up one of the books on the table and handed it to Alice. "This book is about basic spells and rituals. I want to try some simple spells with you."

Tom arranged the old parchments and books on the table and opened a spell book in front of Alice. "To start with, we'll try one of the simplest spells: 'Lumos'. This spell will light up the tip of your wand."

Alice listened intently to Tom's instructions. Tom handed Alice his wand. "First, hold the wand properly. Then say the word 'Lumos' and watch the light appear."

Alice carefully took Tom's wand and said the word "Lumos," following the instructions. But no light came out of the wand. Alice was disappointed. "Why didn't it work?" she asked.

Tom gently held Alice's hand. "Doing magic is not just about saying the words. You have to concentrate and feel the magic. Try again, but this time try to channel the energy inside of you into the wand."

Alice took a deep breath and tried again. "Lumos," she whispered, but again nothing happened. Her disappointment was obvious.

Tom encouraged Alice with a gentle touch on her shoulder. "Don't worry, Alice. It's normal not to succeed the first time. Magic takes practice and patience."

Alice felt a little more relaxed with Tom's encouraging words. "Okay, what other spell can we try?"

Tom opened the next page and showed the spell "Alohomora". "This spell opens locked doors. This time let's try to unlock a lock."

Alice raised her wand as Tom showed her and said the word "Alohomora". However, she still got no result. Tom patiently explained how to do the spell again and continued to try with her.

They spent hours trying different simple spells, but Alice just couldn't get it to work. Her frustration grew with each attempt. Finally, Alice put the wand down on the table and took a deep breath. "I don't think magic is for me."

Tom gently held Alice's hand and looked at her encouragingly. "Magic isn't something that everyone can learn. But I think you can. We just have to find the right method."

Alice felt a little relieved by Tom's words. "So how are we going to do this?"

Tom took a deep breath and picked up one of the old parchments on the table. "Maybe we need to make the magic process a little more personal. We need to find a method that works for you." Tom had developed the method himself.

He looked at an old ritual text written on the parchment. "This text describes a meditation technique that can be used to increase magical power. We can try it together."

Alice nodded eagerly. "Okay, I'm ready to try."

"Now sit in a comfortable position and close your eyes. Take a deep breath."

Alice followed Tom's instructions, sitting comfortably and closing her eyes. She calmed her mind by breathing deeply. Tom slowly walked around Alice and began to read the ancient ritual text. The melodious sound of the text echoed around the room.

After a while, Tom sat down beside Alice and held her hand. "Now try to feel the energy inside of you. Magic is not just words. You must feel and direct the power within you. When you're ready, say the word 'Lumos.'"

Alice squeezed Tom's hand and took a deep breath. She tried to feel the energy within her, guided by Tom's soothing voice. "Lumos," she whispered and opened her eyes. This time, a faint light appeared at the tip of the wand.

Alice looked at Tom with wonder in her eyes. "Did I do it?"

Tom smiled and nodded. "Yes, you did it. When you feel the power within you, magic becomes possible."

Alice happily held the wand and watched the light. "Tom, thank you. I did this because of you."

Tom held Alice's hand and moved closer to her. "As long as we're together, we can overcome anything. Never forget that."

Alice hugged Tom and closed her eyes. "Being with you makes everything easier and more meaningful."

Tom stroked Alice's hair and moved even close
