Oscar screamed as he was shoved into a bush. "Stop kicking me!"
"Sorry," Ruby yelped in response, her voice still filled with a hint of surprise.
Blake, looking over her shoulder, whispered urgently, "Are you two trying to blow our cover?"
Crimson, who had been leading the group, glanced between the hiding team and then at the newcomers—Ruby, Oscar, Blake, and Yang. Weiss was notably absent. "How are we working with you people?" Crimson asked, a touch of frustration in his voice.
Isaac groaned, the impatience clear in his tone. "Fuck it."
With that, he transformed into a white raven, his feathers shimmering as he took to the skies, soaring above them for a better vantage point. Oscar, still trying to dust off the leaves, muttered to himself, "His semblance is broken... He can turn into anything he's ever killed."
Blake gave Oscar a sidelong glance, a mix of disbelief and understanding on her face. "That... is terrifying."
"Tell me about it," Oscar grumbled, pulling himself out of the bush. "Not like we're in a great position to be caught, either. We need to find out who's behind those posters. I can't believe someone's targeting Weiss like this."
Ruby nodded solemnly. "We need to catch this person before things get out of hand."
Blake was already scanning the surroundings. "Alright, let's move quickly before we attract more attention."
Oscar, now standing, adjusted his jacket. "We've got this. Just keep an eye on Isaac and Crimson—they'll draw less suspicion up there." He pointed to Isaac, still in his raven form, flapping above the group.
Yang smirked. "Let's catch the culprit, then."
As the team moved deeper into the area, their mission clearer than ever—find the person responsible for mocking Weiss, and put an end to it. The whispers of the perpetrator's identity lingered in the air, and with Isaac scouting from above, they were ready to catch them in the act.
Meanwhile, in a different part of Vale, Weiss walked through the bustling market street with Morgan and Rose. They'd been shopping for what seemed like hours, picking up random items that didn't even seem to go together. Yet, despite the variety of things in their bags, there didn't seem to be any real reason behind their spree. Weiss couldn't help but feel like something was off.
She stopped in her tracks, looking at the two of them suspiciously. "Are you two trying to distract me from something?"
Rose let out a nervous chuckle, her rabbit ears twitching slightly as she gave a quick reply. "Why would you think that?" Her grin was wide, but there was a hint of unease in her voice, as if she were trying to hide something.
Morgan, standing beside Rose, spoke up with an almost unnervingly sweet tone. The sunlight caught her yellow hair, making it almost glow, giving her a serene yet oddly intimidating presence. "Yes, why would you think that, Weiss?" she said. "We're just spending time with you. Plus, your cousin Isaac is my boyfriend, so I thought, why not get to know my future sister-in-law?"
Weiss raised an eyebrow, her gaze narrowing slightly as she crossed her arms. "Your future sister-in-law?" she echoed. "Do you two always talk like that?"
Morgan smiled faintly, clearly enjoying the way she was making Weiss squirm. "I mean, you're practically family already, aren't you?"
Rose quickly jumped in, trying to change the topic with an exaggerated sigh. "Don't mind her, Weiss. Morgan's just playing around. She's the type to make everything sound more dramatic than it is."
Weiss gave a dry laugh. "Of course. Drama seems to follow you around, doesn't it?"
Morgan winked at Weiss. "Maybe, but I'm just getting ready for when Isaac proposes. Can't blame me for thinking ahead."
Weiss rolled her eyes but couldn't completely mask her smile. "As long as you two don't try to set me up with someone too, I think I'll survive."
Rose and Morgan exchanged a quick glance before turning back to Weiss with matching smirks. "Don't worry, Weiss," Rose said. "We wouldn't want to rush anything."
"Yet," Morgan added with a teasing tone, her eyes gleaming mischievously.
Weiss let out a sigh, feeling both exasperated and entertained. "You're both insufferable."
The trio continued their walk down the street, Weiss still pondering whether there was a bigger reason behind their shopping spree or if they were just wasting time. But in the back of her mind, she couldn't shake the nagging feeling that there was something more going on than they were letting on.
The group of Oscar, Ruby, Blake, Yang, and Crimson stood on the rooftop, trying to keep a low profile as they scanned the streets below with binoculars. Isaac, still in his raven form, flapped his wings high above them, circling the area for any signs of the culprit.
Oscar let out a frustrated sigh as he glanced over at Crimson. "Okay, this is getting ridiculous," he muttered, running a hand through his hair.
Crimson, who was leaning against the low wall of the rooftop, turned to him with a raised eyebrow. "What do you mean by that?" he asked, clearly not understanding Oscar's frustration.
Oscar exhaled sharply. "I just thought we'd find something about this poster guy by now, you know? Like… just some clue, something that makes sense."
Ruby, ever the optimistic one, suddenly perked up, her eyes wide as she looked through the binoculars in her hands. "Wait, I think I found something!" she said excitedly. "Someone is putting up the drawings!"
Oscar immediately straightened up, his attention fully on Ruby. "What? You mean there's a pattern? A lead?" he asked, hoping this was finally the breakthrough they'd been waiting for.
Before Ruby could respond, Isaac, still in his raven form, let out a frustrated squawk and suddenly morphed into a massive, imposing dragon. His dark, glowing eyes fixed on the area below, and his fangs bared as he growled. "Die," he muttered in a low, deadly voice.
Oscar's eyes widened. "Isaac, what the hell are you doing?!" he shouted, his voice sharp with concern.
Crimson quickly moved in front of Isaac, blocking his path with his arms outstretched. "Stop, you dumbass!" Crimson shouted, his voice booming as he grabbed Isaac by the shoulders and pulled him back. "You can't just turn into a Grimm Dragon just because some guy is putting up crude drawings of your cousin! You can't just kill him!"
Isaac, still in his dragon form, let out a frustrated growl, but the transformation began to dissipate as he returned to his human form. "I'm sick of this," Isaac muttered, his voice tinged with irritation. "This guy's making my cousin suffer, and I'm tired of waiting for justice."
Oscar stepped forward, trying to reason with Isaac. "I get it, but we can't just go around tearing things apart because of some pictures. If we do that, we'll just be playing into whoever's sick little game this is."
Blake, who had been silently observing the whole exchange, spoke up from the side. "Isaac, Oscar's right. We need to handle this carefully. If we just charge in, we're no better than the person behind the posters."
Yang, who had been unusually quiet up until now, crossed her arms and gave Isaac a stern look. "We're not here to make things worse. We need to figure out who's doing this and make them pay, but we do it smart."
Ruby, looking serious for the first time all day, nodded in agreement. "We've been hunting down clues for days. If we start fighting every time we get mad, we'll just lose track of the real culprit."
Isaac grumbled but finally relented, shifting back into his human form. "Fine, but I swear, if I find out who's behind this—"
"We'll deal with them," Oscar finished, clapping him on the back. "But we have to think this through."
Crimson took a step back, his gaze focused as he glanced down at the street below. "Let's stay sharp, everyone. Whoever's doing this is sneaky, and we need to be careful. We've got the upper hand right now, so let's use it."
Oscar nodded, feeling a little better with his team on his side. "Right. Let's find this guy. And when we do, they'll regret messing with Weiss."
The group turned their attention back to the binoculars, scanning for any signs of their mysterious target. The night had just begun, and the hunt was on.
Yang's voice broke through the tension of the moment. "Um, guys," she said, pointing to the crowd below. "People are looking at us because they saw Isaac turn into a Grimm dragon."
Oscar whipped his head around, realizing that the street was now filled with people staring in shock, murmuring to each other, and pointing in their direction. The last thing they needed right now was to draw attention, especially with Isaac's transformation.
"Great, just great," Oscar muttered, his voice laced with frustration.
Without a second thought, he activated his Shadow Travel. The entire group vanished in a split second, leaving the crowd behind with nothing but confused murmurs and the faint feeling of a strange chill in the air. The bystanders were left standing there, looking around and wondering what in the world they had just witnessed.
"Did we just see a Grimm dragon?!" one bystander asked, eyes wide.
"No way, that wasn't real, was it?" another murmured, shaking their head in disbelief.
"I swear, I saw it with my own eyes. And then they just… vanished," someone else added, still trying to process what had happened.
Back on the rooftop of a completely different building, Oscar and his team materialized in a flash of shadowy energy. The group stood in silence for a moment, taking in the sudden change of scenery. The surrounding area was much quieter—no prying eyes, no onlookers, just a few distant rooftops and the occasional flicker of lights from the street below.
"Well, that was fun," Blake said dryly, looking over at Isaac. "Next time, maybe don't turn into a dragon right in the middle of the city?"
Isaac rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, clearly embarrassed. "Yeah, I got carried away. Sorry about that. I just—" He trailed off, letting out a frustrated sigh. "You know how it is."
Oscar shook his head but couldn't help but chuckle a little. "At least we got away clean. But we need to be careful. The last thing we need is the whole city turning into a hunting party for a Grimm dragon."
Yang leaned back, her hands resting behind her head as she looked around the new location. "I have to admit, that was pretty impressive. But maybe next time, we keep the whole 'dragon transformation' thing in check, yeah?"
Ruby, ever the optimist, bounced on her heels. "We're still making progress, though! I found out the posters are being put up by someone else, so we've got a lead now!"
Oscar nodded, keeping his voice low. "Exactly. And we can't afford any more distractions. We need to find the person responsible for this. This whole thing is getting out of hand."
Crimson, who had been quiet for a while, suddenly spoke up. "We have a lead now, so let's focus. Isaac, no more dragon forms unless we're in a situation where we can really use it."
Isaac smirked. "Fine, fine. I'll keep the beast inside for now."
Weiss, Morgan, and Rose were still in the midst of their shopping trip, completely unaware of the chaos unfolding elsewhere. Meanwhile, Oscar and the others remained on alert, knowing that finding the culprit behind the drawings was only the beginning of the long road ahead.
Oscar looked at his team, his eyes filled with determination. "Let's keep our focus, and don't let our tempers get the best of us. We'll catch this guy and put an end to this nonsense. Together."
The team nodded in agreement, ready to tackle the next challenge—whatever it might be.
Later that night, in the dorm room of Team ROWBY.
Weiss looked as he spoke. "You all did too for me."
Oscar spoke as he sighed. "Yeah but we didn't find the Guy, but ne-".
Weiss then spoke to them as she spoke. "There will be no next time".
Ruby was taken aback as she spoke. "But the poster".
Weiss then spoke Looking at them. "Forget about them; I can live with it; not the first time someone has said bad Words about me".
Blake then spoke Looking at her, as her Cat air twitch bellow her Bow. "But why, is it because you don't want us too get into trouble".
Weiss sighed, her shoulders slumping slightly. "It's not just about avoiding trouble. It's about… well, about not letting it get to me anymore. I've spent too much time letting other people's opinions define me, and I'm tired of it. I can handle this."
Oscar, standing by the window, glanced over at her. "Weiss... you don't have to handle this alone. We're your team. We're here for you."
Weiss shook her head, a soft, frustrated smile on her face. "I know you're here for me, Oscar, but it's not about that. It's about me. I can't keep relying on you guys to solve my problems. This isn't your battle."
Ruby, normally upbeat and quick to fix situations, frowned. "But you're part of our team, Weiss. We solve things together. No one gets left behind. And if someone's bothering you, we're going to handle it. We'll find the person doing this."
Weiss' expression softened, but she still looked conflicted. "I appreciate that, Ruby. I do. But I don't want you all to keep putting yourselves at risk because of my issues. Besides, this stuff happens all the time. It's just… life. I have to learn to deal with it."
Blake stepped forward, her voice calm but firm. "We all have our battles, Weiss. And no one here is going to sit by while you're being treated this way. It's not just about you, it's about all of us. We're a team, remember?"
Weiss' gaze flicked from Blake to the rest of the group. She could see the concern on all their faces, the genuine care and loyalty. She wanted to push them away, to protect them from whatever might come next, but deep down, she knew she couldn't.
With a heavy sigh, she finally spoke. "I know. I just... I don't want you all to get hurt because of me."
Oscar walked over, placing a hand on her shoulder gently. "We won't let anything happen to you. We've got this."
Yang chimed in, grinning slightly. "You think we're gonna let some random guy's posters get the better of us? Not a chance."
Weiss finally let out a small laugh, the weight on her shoulders easing just a little. "Thanks, guys. You really are a lot more than I deserve."
Ruby bounced up next to her. "You deserve all of us, Weiss. We're a team, remember?"
Weiss smiled, truly smiled, for the first time that day. "Yeah. I guess you're right. We'll figure this out together."
Blake nodded. "Together."
With that, the group fell into a comfortable silence, knowing that whatever came next, they would face it as a team. And no matter what, they wouldn't let Weiss fight her battles alone.
Oscar then looked at Yang as he spoke. "So, you didn't say anything Yang"
Yang stayed quiet as she spoke. "I need some time too think"
She went too balcony, Ruby then spoke as she saw her sister go. "I Guess out of all of us, she was the most affected".
Oscar nodded thoughtfully as he watched Yang walk out to the balcony. "Yeah... I think it hit her the hardest. Yang doesn't always show it, but she cares so much. And when it comes to family and Friends, she's protective, especially with Weiss."
Blake, still seated at the table, stared quietly for a moment before speaking up. "She may act tough, but Yang's been through a lot too. Seeing Weiss go through something like this... it probably brings up memories for her."
Ruby nodded slowly. "Yeah, I get that. She's been trying to be the strong one for all of us, and sometimes... that means she keeps things bottled up."
Weiss, having been silent for a while, finally spoke up. "You're right. Yang has a way of holding everything inside, but she's still there for us when we need her. I just hope she knows that we're here for her, too."
Oscar turned to Ruby and Blake. "We should give her some space... but also remind her that we're a team. That we've got her back."
Ruby's face softened as she looked out the window, watching her sister stand in the dim light of the balcony. "I'll talk to her. I think... maybe she just needs to know that we're all in this together."
Blake stood up and walked over to the window, glancing at the moonlight illuminating Yang's figure on the balcony. "Let her have her moment, Ruby. But don't let her push you away. Yang's not the type to ask for help, but she'll listen when she knows you understand."
Oscar smiled faintly, "Yeah, she's stubborn like that." He turned to Weiss. "But, Weiss... if it's alright, I'm glad you've let us help with this. It means a lot to all of us."
Weiss looked up at him, her eyes soft. "I... I don't want to drag anyone down. But I think I've learned, little by little, that it's okay to rely on others."
Ruby clapped her hands together, a grin slowly creeping onto her face. "See? We're all learning from each other."
There was a brief silence before Blake spoke again. "Now, we give Yang some time. Afterwards, we'll be there for her, just like she's been there for us."
Oscar nodded in agreement. "Exactly. No one's fighting this alone." He paused, glancing over at Ruby, then Weiss. "We'll figure this out, together."
As the night continued, the group stayed close, supporting one another in ways that only a team could. The future still held challenges, but with their bonds strengthened, they knew that together, they could face anything that came their way.
