Do Muggles like wizards?
In Andy's opinion, when Muggles consider wizards to be fictional, they will yearn for magic and the life of a wizard. But when Muggles learn that wizards really exist, the contradictions between the two sides will be irreconcilable.
The same goes for gods.
If gods are just a kind of faith or belief, people will worship and admire 'Them'.
But when gods really appear in the world and can lose HP... what awaits them is an endless flow of god-slayers with big ambitions.
Unless the gods are all-powerful and invincible, they are doomed to die.
Unfortunately.
The gods of this world didn't seem that powerful, as they chose to hide as well!
Andy recalled the information he had gathered in recent years, trying to find anything related to gods.
But the information was all over the place, and there was no way to find the real records among the countless fictional myths and legends.
Well... it's not completely without a clue.
The Deathly Hallows!
The bedtime story recorded in 'Tales of Beedle the Bard' was a real myth and legend. Even if the story had been artistically processed, it was still a true story.
The only clue led to Death!
Thinking about this, Andy realised that everything had come full circle.
What would happen if the three Deathly Hallows were gathered?
Become the master of death?
Gain the power of death?
Or... bring Death back to life?
Andy had no idea.
But neither Andy nor Dumbledore had ever thought of letting the Deathly Hallows be gathered in one person's hands.
Even if it was just a wild guess, no one would dare to gamble with the consequences.
Andy suddenly thought of an idiom.
Ye Gong likes the dragon! (He may act like he likes dragons, but he is terrified of them.)
Searching for evidence of the existence of the gods, hoping that they truly exist, but also afraid that they truly exist.
This is Andy's current state of mind.
Thinking about this, Andy laughed self-deprecatingly.
"Andy, I'm talking to you!"
Hermione glared at Andy discontentedly. "What are you thinking about? You're so engrossed."
Andy leaned back in his chair and said wearily, "What do you think I was thinking? To be honest, I kind of understand why Dumbledore gave up looking for the Deathly Hallows."
Finding and uncovering clues can be thrilling.
But the truth can be terrifying.
All that talk about 'God loves us' and 'God will protect us' is just human wishes.
At least in this world, gods are not that great; they would only act on their whims.
Do you know about God Apollo's curse on the Trelawney family?
Death behaviour in the three Peverell brothers' story?
When the rich look at the poor, they feel superior; let alone a god like 'Them'?
After reading about all the records that could be found about gods and their mentality.
Only fools would believe that God cares about humans.
"Why?" Hermione was a little puzzled.
Of course, she knew what Andy had been trying to find out.
She knew what Andy was thinking about because he had told her about his dream a few years ago.
Andy's dream seemed so unrealistic that it sounded like the fantasy of a middle school kid. But now it seemed that Andy's dream might not be as unrealistic as they had thought.
Andy was taking steps to make it come true.
"It's… nothing!"
Andy laughed and got up, saying, "It's getting late; let's go to bed; we have classes tomorrow."
Seeing that Andy didn't want to talk about it, Hermione left him alone. "I'm going to read for a while, um... in the library on the first floor..."
"Library on the first floor?"
Andy raised an eyebrow. "It's closing soon,"
"I can borrow it," Hermione said.
If you insist, I won't go to sleep. You look annoyed.
"I'll go too!" Andy said quickly.
Hermione: "..."
***
The first day of school passed in a whirl of activity.
Andy seemed to have gained a lot, but he also lost a bit.
After a good night's sleep, Andy was able to adjust.
In the world of magic, everything is illusory, and only one's own strength truly belongs to oneself.
It can be seen and felt.
Especially now.
Ever since he had completed the fusion of his mind and magic, Andy had had a wonderful feeling: the magic truly belonged to him.
This feeling gave Andy a lot of motivation.
He studied even harder.
In addition to practising magic every day, Andy spent a lot of time on alchemy. Occasionally, he would also look up information about love, gods, and legends when the mood struck him.
These days made Andy feel fulfilled.
So fulfilled that he almost forgot about the outside world.
A week after the start of the school year, Andy bought a lot of materials needed to study alchemy.
The first thing Andy had to practise was rune engraving.
This is a labour-intensive task, and there is no shortcut to mastery other than daily practice.
Andy also settled down and spent a lot of time practising every day.
The days passed one after the other.
On the tenth day in school, Andy finally saved up five [Potential Points].
He opened the system panel.
[Potential Points: 5]
After a quick glance, Andy added all the points to the [Constitution] attribute without hesitation.
Well, Andy had mentioned adding [Alchemy] first, but in the end, he couldn't resist the temptation of magic transfiguration and decided to add five points to the [Constitution] attribute first and then consider adding points to [Alchemy].
After all... magic transfiguration is so irresistible!
Adding points is just a matter of a split second, but the changes brought about by this addition made Andy feel incredibly glad that he had added the [Constitution] attribute first.
It was completely different from the previous few additions. After [Constitution] reached five points, a large amount of cold air overflowed from Andy's body, and the Room of Requirement was almost instantly covered in a layer of frost.
Not only that, Andy felt as if he had gained a special magical ability.
Just like this moment!
Andy felt as if he could control this power.
With a thought, the chilling cold in the room instantly subsided, and the white frost was rapidly fading at a speed visible to the naked eye. In just a few short breaths, the temperature in the room returned to normal.
The next moment, the chilling cold erupted again!
"Sure enough!"
Andy's eyes were shining.
"My guess was correct. Magic transfiguration can steal the magical power of nature!"
"This is the power of the death dimension!"
Andy was all too familiar with this chilling cold.
When he first touched the archway in the Death Chamber, Andy almost froze to death from the cold.
It didn't just lower the temperature.
This chilling cold could freeze thoughts, senses, memories— everything.
It could even make plants wither and die.
Because this cold is part of the power of death, it represents death, and death is the loss of everything.
Just imagining it, Andy can tell how powerful this force is.
Think about it: when Andy's opponent is affected by the cold, their reaction speed and thinking will become slower, so how will they fight Andy?
A battle between people with similar strengths will be decided by the finest of differences.
Even if it is just a split second, it is enough for Andy to take someone's life.
If he encounters an opponent with weak willpower, the chilling cold can even make them freeze up completely.
"I've become stronger again..." Andy muttered to himself.
