On the edge of the far north, there exists a place called Dragon city. Dragon city's current guard, Li Erhu, is having a tough day
"Huo Yuhao, correct?"
"Yes, thats my name"
"And your martial soul is a silkworm, correct?"
"Yes"
The Li Erhu looked at a form and asked "you are ten years old, right?"
Huo Yuhao nodded.
"And your level 10, right?" Li Erhu questioned.
"Yes, I am"
"And you need a soul ring?"
"Correct"
"So of all places to go to get a soul ring, you chose the Far North?"
"Yes"
"You realize you could go to the less dangerous Icebound Forest, right?"
"Yes"
Li Erhu sighed, "I guess why not, go ahead"
As Erhu opened the gates of the city, an expanse of white snow could be seen from afar.
Huo Yuhao trecked out of the city towards the snowy plains.

year 40xx of the new calendar, december 4 (5 weeks before).
It has been 10 years since I was reborn into this world, and now I am barely level ten. I plan on getting an ice silkworm soul ring for their ability of simulation, but i'm still far away from the far north.
On a side note: I have found out the current timeline, huo yuhao (grilled fish version) has just enrolled at shrek, meaning that i can't get the first cheat known as tianmeng.
On another side note: my martial soul is too weak, I need to become a soul master as soon as possible to evolve it. I have developed the ability of silk spinning and can now use it in battle or for production purposes, however one thing I've noticed is that silkworms seem to revere me. I wonder if that could be used for my advantage...
Huo Yuhao closed his notebook and sighed, "this is too slow"

Huo Yuhao walked through the snow, peeking at a compass for directions.
He looked around, but suddenly felt a strange palpitation from his heart.
"Ten thousand year soul beast that way..." he spoke.
Ever since Huo Yuhao was reborn, he had a very strong intuition thanks to his strong mental power.
If not for this vague intuition, he would not have risked going to the far north.
Huo Yuhao turned around and started walking the other way, when suddenly the ground started rumbling.
it was as if the earth was shaking in fear.
The dirt beneath him started to crumble away, revealing a large drop.
Huo Yuhao tried to run before it fell, but it was too late!
He closed his eyes, hoping for a quick death, but instead of falling to his death, he fell into a net of silk.
At the bottom of the pit, there was a small cave. Just as Yuhao was thinking of how to get back up, a giant ice silkworm crawled out of the cave.
The ice silkworm looked at him with wide eyes, and crawled back inside the cave.
Stunned, Huo Yuhao stood there in silence for a few seconds, but as the silkworm came back and gestured yuhao to follow, he made up his mind and followed the silkworm.
They moved past many tunnels, and on the way, there were many frozen humans, all stuck in horrifying expressions.
while unnerved by the sight, Huo Yuhao stayed calm, because if he didn't stay calm, he would be as good as dead.
Reaching the edge of the cave, Huo Yuhao looked around and spotted 13 ice silkworms of varying ages, all watching him closely.
The leading ice silkworm looked at Yuhao and started projecting images on the cave walls.
The images depicted a story, with subtitles in common language being projected on the floor.
It was about an ice silkworm who was wandering around the far north, eventually grew to 10,000 years old, and due to lonliness, decided to gather the remaining silkworms in the far north to create a tribe.
The silkworm gathered around 1,000 silkworms, each at least 100 years old, and created a sanctuary for their kind.
But they were attacked.
An ice jade scorpion was lost one day and encountered their home.
The ice silkworms, afraid of angering the leader of the ice jade scorpions, the Ice Emperor, sent the ice jade scorpion back to its clan territory.
But what they didn't expect, was for the scorpion to tell his entire clan about their whereabouts.
The ice jade scorpions gathered together and hunted their tribe of silkworms until there were only 50 left, forcing the silkworms to run and hide for their tribe's safety.
But this did not make the scorpions stop.
Eventually, only 14 silkworms remained, however, each one was at least a ten thousand year old soul beast.
The leader silkworm instructed his remaining clan members to dig into the earth, creating a tunnel network. The leader silkworm then used his strongest soul skill, simulation, to hide all the traces of their existance.
He even set up an illusion to make all soul beasts that might dig into their tunnels subconsciously ignore the space around it.
But although the silkworms were now safe, they wanted revenge!
however, with the ice empress being a 399,900 year soul beast, they couldn't find an opportunity to take vengance.
Moreover, the leader silkworm had reached the limit of their species, a hundred thousand year soul beast. his time was running out.
He only had 10 years until his tribulation.
But just as they were wallowing in despair, he and his silkworm brothers sensed a human on the surface of their cave.
They could have killed him, but for some reason, they all felt obligated to worship and revere that human.
If it wasn't obvious that the human had an ice silkworm martial soul, and that he needed his first soul ring, they would have killed him anyway.
But time was running out, so he and the other 13 silkworms made a plan: they would all gather together and become a soul ring for the soul master by combining their origins, and they would preserve their wisdom.
Eventually, if that soul master became a god, they would enjoy eternal life too.
Seeing this story, Huo Yuhao was surprised.
'Do all ice silkworms have an inherited memory? How did they come up with the same plan as tianmeng?'
"Human, we will entrust you with our souls. however you must promise us that you will revive us if you become a god..."
Huo Yuhao, who realized the extreme state they were in, nodded solemnly.
The silkworms gathered together, and all sacrificed at once. 13 black rings and 1 red filled the cave with light. Soon the 14 rings merged together to create a red ring with a golden circle on each side, symbolizing a 200,000 year soul ring.
Huo Yuhao summoned his martial soul, and a silkworm shadow appeared behind him.
The red ring merged into his martial soul, and soon all huo yuhao could feel was pain...
It was as if all his skin was being torn up and molded with something else.
His meridans were expanding from a soft force, and growing tougher by the second.
His mental power grew, expanding from the soul ring and condensing from the pain.
Before he knew it, Huo Yuhao fell into a trance.

an hour later:
Huo Yuhao woke up with a start.
He checked his soul power level and realized it was at level 20.
Attempting to rub his forehead, he brought his hand up to his face, only to be surprised with what he saw...
'did I get reborn again?'
His hand- no, his entire skin was pale as if he had never seen sunlight in his life.
"As expected" a voice said, "you got an external soul bone for your soul bone position"
Huo Yuhao jumped up, looked around and asked, "who are you and what are you doing in my head?"
"Have you already forgotten my voice? I'm the ice silkworm who talked to you earlier" the silkworm said, "you can call me Bing Hao or just old Hao"
Huo Yuhao nodded.
"there was a higher chance of you obtaining an external soul bone because I wanted to give you one, but it wasn't certain" Bing Hao said, "Alright Yuhao, there is a pile of storage soul guides in one of the caves, I will direct you to them so go pick them up, and lets leave this place" Bing Hao spoke.
"Okay, Bing Hao, but first I need to figure out my soul skills"
Huo Yuhao checked his soul skills:
His first soul ring gave him the skills of simulation, an ability which allows him to make illusions, and spirit sense, which allows him to sense the surrounding area.
Meanwhile, his external soul bone gave him another two abilities, mental immunity, which makes him immune to mental attacks which are below his mental power in strength, and ice absorption, which allows him to absorb ice elements for cultivation.
The ice elements he absorbs will also temper his physique slowly.
And so, with Bing Hao acting as a guide, Huo Yuhao picked up the soul guides and left the cave through a hidden exit off the side.

A figure with blue hair watched a circular globe, but was alarmed by something else.
"How come the son of destiny's luck was just reduced?" he muttered, "it was just a miniscule amount, but it definitely dropped a little..."
Suddenly, a woman with rabbit ears entered the room.
"Tang San, have you seen Xiao Qi? I've been looking for her everywhere!"
