Chapter 97: The Highly Motivated Tang San
"Brother, what do you want to do?"
"Xiao Wu, you tell me—what do you think I want to do?"
"I... I don't know what you want to do."
"If you don't run away right now, what else can I do to you? What do you think a man and a woman do when they go out on a date?"
"Brother, don't mess around! I have my bottom line."
"Don't worry, after we get married, I won't make you have kids for me."
Ye Feng took a step closer to Xiao Wu. Seeing that she had no intention of dodging or resisting, he reached out and started doing what he shouldn't. This was the countryside, late at night, and there wasn't a single soul around. If someone happened to pass by, they would have been in for one hell of a show.
By the time Ye Feng and Xiao Wu came back from their little "date," Ye Feng had barely stepped into his room when Ma Hongjun and Oscar turned to look at him with mischievous expressions.
Ma Hongjun nudged Oscar, smirking as he mocked, "Man, after walking all day, my legs are killing me. Brother, can you give me a massage too?"
Oscar caught on immediately, his voice dripping with fake shyness. "Yeah, right here?"
Ma Hongjun continued his act, batting his eyes dramatically. "Mhm. Right here. Rongrong and Zhuqing are already asleep."
Ye Feng froze for a second before narrowing his eyes. Hands still in his sleeves, he laughed. "Oh? You two eavesdropped, huh?"
Ma Hongjun quickly waved his hands. "Hell no! Brother, the walls here are just way too thin!" Then, with a dramatic pout, he added, "But seriously, my legs really hurt. Brother, pleeease rub them for me? Pretty please?"
Ye Feng grinned. With a flick of his wrist, the Xuanyuan Sword spirit materialized in his hand. "Oh, no problem! I see that not just your legs, but your whole damn body is feeling itchy. Don't worry, I'll use the Xuanyuan Sword to massage you real nice and proper."
Ma Hongjun's face went pale. "What? Xuanyuan Sword? No, no, no! Boss Ye, I was just joking! Please, I take it back!" He bolted toward the bed, yanked off his shoes, and dove under the covers like his life depended on it.
Ye Feng's sword gleamed in the dim light as he turned to Oscar. "What about you, Xiao Ao?"
Oscar raised both hands in surrender. "I didn't say anything!" Without hesitation, he followed Ma Hongjun's lead, kicking off his shoes and jumping straight into bed.
Ye Feng's gaze finally landed on Tang San, who was sitting calmly in the corner, watching the scene with an unreadable expression. Their eyes met.
"What? You got something to say?" Ye Feng asked, raising an eyebrow.
Tang San hesitated. "I...?"
"Not satisfied with just taking out those Wolf Bandits? You wanna go out and have a little spar?" Ye Feng asked with a smirk.
Tang San shook his head. "I... I think I'd rather be alone."
Truth be told, Tang San knew better than to spar with Ye Feng. He had his Ghost Shadow Steps, Mysterious Jade Hand, Purple Demon Eye, and Crane Control Dragon Capture techniques. But Ye Feng? That guy was a damn monster. His speed wasn't inferior to an agility-type spirit master, completely neutralizing the advantage of Ghost Shadow Steps. His defense was ridiculous, making the Mysterious Jade Hand almost useless. And Tang San had seen it—sometimes, Ye Feng's eyes turned completely black, just like his own Purple Demon Eye.
No, fighting Ye Feng wasn't an option.
Tang San turned to look at Ma Hongjun and Oscar, then thought about how they had teased Ye Feng earlier. He sighed, knowing deep down that any chance he had with Xiao Wu was long gone.
His gaze then fell on Oscar.
In his previous life, Tang San had jumped off a cliff just to prove his resolve before he and Xiao Wu took things further—but in the end, he died young. Now, in this life, he wasn't about to be alone forever.
Tang San had always liked Xiao Wu. But Ye Feng had already claimed her. Maybe, just maybe... it was time for him to start looking for his own other half, just like Oscar had.

The next morning, the Shrek Eight Devils hit the road back to Shrek Academy. Using their spirit power to move faster, they managed to return to the academy by early afternoon.
Shrek Academy was still under construction. When they left, it was a ghost town—no students, no teachers, just empty buildings. But now, the place was packed with people. Some looked like students, others like instructors.
"Where the hell did all these people come from?" Ma Hongjun asked, confused.
Ding Dong!
"Congratulations! Due to the host's interference, Blue Tyrant Academy has proactively requested a merger with Shrek Academy, altering the original storyline. Reward: 16 allocatable attribute points."
Ye Feng blinked in surprise. So that was it. Blue Tyrant Academy had merged with Shrek Academy. That explained all the new faces.
When they found Flanders, they finally got the full story.
Apparently, Flanders had gone all out advertising Shrek Academy, spending a shitload of money to post flyers all over Tiandou City. The most expensive spot he bought? The giant bulletin board at the city gates—the same board that was originally owned by Blue Tyrant Academy.
Blue Tyrant Academy had been furious. They had already paid for that board, only for Flanders to come in and snatch it from under their noses. And on top of that, the city fined them three times their usual penalty fee.
Feeling humiliated, the senior members of Blue Tyrant Academy stormed into Shrek Academy, demanding an explanation. But Flanders and Zhao Wuji weren't the type to back down. Instead, they just beat the shit out of them.
Infuriated, Blue Tyrant Academy's higher-ups called in the big boss—Liu Erlong.
Now, Liu Erlong wasn't just some nobody. She was one of the Golden Iron Triangle, and she wasn't about to let her academy be bullied. She personally led a group to Shrek Academy, ready to throw down.
But the moment Liu Erlong saw Flanders and Yu Xiaogang standing together, everything changed.
Instead of starting a fight, she immediately backed off and smoothed things over. Not only that, but she also announced on the spot that Blue Tyrant Academy would merge with Shrek Academy.
After hearing all this, the Shrek Eight Devils—exhausted from their journey—headed to their dorms to rest.
The biggest perk of Shrek Academy relocating to Tiandou City? The new academy now had a simulated training ground and private dorms for each student.
That night, Tang San went to find Grandmaster.
"Teacher, didn't you say you'd ask Chen Xin or Ye Feng about how to solve the issue of twin spirits being unable to attach spirit rings at the same time?"
"Be patient, Xiao San. You just got back. I'll talk to Ye Feng tomorrow and see if he's willing to share the method."
"No need, Teacher. I already asked him myself."
"Did he tell you?"
"Yeah. And honestly, I was surprised. He always keeps his distance from me, but he actually gave me the answer. Teacher, can I attach a spirit ring to my Clear Sky Hammer now?"
"You can. But it has to be a ten-thousand-year spirit ring. And with your current body, I'm not sure you can withstand that kind of impact just yet."
Tang San left Grandmaster's room and passed by Ye Feng's dormitory on the way to his own. He stopped at the door, a confident smirk on his face.
"Xuanyuan Sword might be powerful, but Clear Sky Hammer is the nemesis of all attack-type spirits," he muttered to himself. "Ye Feng, you've always wanted to spar with me? Fine. Once I attach a spirit ring to my Clear Sky Hammer, I'll be the one to challenge you. And when that time comes… you better accept."
