Chapter 151 Trapped
Aleshia tried to explain that they were not raiding any noble mansions, but she eventually gave up as Kailey continued to ignore her explanations, lost in her daydreaming. Aleshia scanned the room, searching for the door that led to the stairs she had descended. She quickly spotted the door and walked toward it, but just as she was about to enter, she realized it led to a different area.
Kailey absentmindedly followed Aleshia, still somewhat dazed from her anticipation of the raid and the possibility of uncovering 'nobles' magic books. Kailey quietly walked behind Aleshia but didn't notice when Aleshia stopped, accidentally bumping into her as she paused in the doorway. Consequently, they both tumbled to the ground in a heap, and the door swung shut behind them.
Hearing the click of the door closing, Aleshia immediately got up and pounded on the door before realizing she needed to turn the knob. However, the door did not open. "That's odd," Aleshia said, puzzled.
After trying various methods, she decided to kick the door down. Aleshia took a few steps back, then ran toward the door and leaped at it with a flying kick. To her dismay, the door didn't budge, and the impact sent pain shooting through her leg. "Ouch!" she exclaimed.
At the sound of her cry, Kailey snapped out of her daydream and asked, "Are you okay? What happened, Aleshia?"
Holding her leg, Aleshia replied, "I'm fine, but I think our exit is blocked. I can't even open the door."
"Let me give it a try," Kailey said. She walked up to the door and attempted to twist the knob while pushing against it. But when it didn't budge, she pulled, but the door stayed firmly shut. "Well, this is a pickle, isn't it?" Kailey remarked, sounding a bit dissatisfied.
Recalling her earlier exploration, Aleshia quickly devised a plan and shared it with Kailey. "I think we should continue down the path of doors and search for more marks."
"Alright," Kailey replied nonchalantly.
As they walked down the corridor lined with doors, Aleshia provided more details about her discoveries. "I believe the marks I've encountered are part of a game. Before I activated the glyph that started this 'game,' the marks stayed on the wall when I touched them. However, once I activated the glyphs, it unlocked the marks, causing them to fall onto me when I touched them. Since this appears to be our only objective for now, I think we should continue exploring until we find another mark or a new section of this space."
