Chapter 34 - CHAPTER 34: TRAPPED IN HIS GAMES

BLOOD AND RIVALRY

Ravenna had never felt this helpless struggling for her life like she did right now—Not even when Ryles had stabbed her by the cliff.

This prince was indeed crazy and especially unpredictable. She hadn't expected him to grab her neck out of nowhere.

The look on his face sent chills down her spine. Her glossy eyes watered in pain and helplessness.

Fighting for her and life and struggling to breathe, she scratched desperately —her fingers digging into his skin yet he seemed unfazed infact amused.

" Seize that red haired ! " She heard the guards shout from nearby. They must have caught the red haired girl.

Yet they were completely unaware of the dangerous prince commiting murder on the palace grounds.

" Beg me ! " He commanded , watching her green eyes water.

Time slowly and painfully crawled, with every gasp and painful groan that came from Ravenna—yet she didn't utter a single word of plea.

Amused, he released his grip on her neck letting her crumble to the ground —gasping and panting severely.

Why had he let her go ?

He should have just killed her ?

She would rather die than beg for her life ?

His eyes carefully settled on the crumpled mess of a girl panting and wheezing for breath —an unfathomable glint flashed in his eyes.

' How stubborn , just the perfect tool '

Ravenna's eyes hardened, the fire that had almost dimmed out from dying lit up once again. She slowly rose to her feet, the fog coming to pool back together —covering her legs.

She opened her mouth, her bitter thoughts ready to flow out —but she swayed before quickly maintaining balance.

Her world began spinning very slowly and it didn't take long for her to realize that the needle had indeed been poisoned—and it was now taking effect.

She struggled to keep her balance, her whole body, from the veins to the bones, it burned treacherously.

" You.... " She struggled to form a proper sentence, the pain eating her up.

She struggled to breathe, sweat coating her and fingers trembling badly.

" That's right, you have been poisoned " She heard the voice of the devilish prince. Her vision was blurred from pooled up tears but she couldn't miss the smile in his voice.

He was enjoying this...

Torturing her...

The pain rippled through her, as though tearing up her flesh. Ravenna wanted to scream so bad....but she couldn't risk attracting the guards.

She turned and twisted, digging her hands into the dirt beneath the fog.

She knew of all poisons and how to counter them, but this very one in her system.

She had never come accross it before, and she couldn't treat what she didn't know.

This prince was messing with her. She cursed in her mind.

" Beg me " She heard his deep wicked voice once again but she didn't budge.

Crouched on the ground in pain, her hair covered her face —hiding the look of desperation on her face.

The second prince had underestimated her. She would rather attract the guards attention then give in to this man.

And that was what she was going to do....

The second prince crouched down to her level and pinched her jaw—raising them so she could meet his eyes.

It was when he saw her immitate his slow smile did he understand that she was easily broken.

The next second, a painful scream filled the forest disrupting the fog, startling the animals awake.

The guards also sharply turned dousing the fire on their torches and sprinting towards the direction where the sound came from.

With the mages in the front as leads it was no problem navigating in the dark as they had cleared visions at night.

Dousing the fire was also to confuse and distract the enemies.

They must get whoever that was...

The second prince watched in amusement as Ravenna suddenly screamed her lungs out—intentionally drawing the attention of the guards their way.

His bewilderment turned into pure excitement.

" How cunning " he chuckled

This girl was indeed something else...

He loved it.

His eyes shone with a dangerous light, daring her to move and she did.

She sprinted forward despite the gut wrenching pain—with all her strength hurling a knee kick towards his head.

But he had predicted it, and he just grabbed her like she was cotton and locked her arms —her back pressed into his chest and she felt a burn spread through her back.

She struggled against his hold, trying to slip away, but his grip was strong.

She would not die by his hands never.

She could hear the thumping footsteps of the gurads—they were close.

She just needed a little more time...

" Believe me, they wouldn't catch up " He whispered, his hot breath hitting her ear. She squirmed irritated by their closeness.

" They would.... " She hadn't even finished countering his claim but suddenly her vision shifted.

And he stepped away waiting to see her reaction.

Ravenna's wide eyes wasn't enough to describe the pure shock and horror that immediately washed down her back.

THEY WERE NO LONGER IN THE WOODS !!!!!

She knew this scenery too well, it was the shed close to the dungeon. Where they had first ran into each other.

' HE...HE CAN APPARATE ??? '

She turned towards him in pure shock and horror

" You can ... " Before the words could completely leave her mouth a wave of pain hit her.

She doubled over in pain, tears pooling, veins bulging.

She had completely forgotten about the poison in her body this bastard just wanted to torture her.

He slowly walked towards her, crouching to her level before handing her a very small and trimmed bottle.

" Well done " he smirked

She just glared at him wandering why he was even giving a word of praise at this awful moment.

" That is an antidote. Take it or die " He deadpanned waiting for her to choose.

She froze, before grabbing the bottle and shoving the content down her throat. It burned, like she swallowed the sun itself but immediately all pain subsided.

She heaved in relief, finally aware of how much sweat had gathered round her borrowed court maid uniform.

She stood up regardless, wondering what it was she had swallowed.

" What was in this bottle ? " Ravenna was curious, she needed to know what was strong enough to conquer a poison this potent.

" My blood " He answered nonchalantly.

And Ravenna almost died from shock and disgust.

Her fingers twitched with so much anger

What did he mean by his BLOOD ????

She almost cursed out loud.

" And..... " He continued, deliberately pausing to further annoy her.

" That is just a temporary antidote. The poison would continue it's work in a few days slowly eating you up from the inside " he finished, casually glancing her way

" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " Ravenna couldn't describe how utterly speechless and bewildered she felt right now.....

' A temporary antidote ?????? '
