Hunter stormed into the police station, his strides long and purposeful as he made his way to the chief investigator's office. The tension in his shoulders was impossible to ignore, but he forced himself to keep his emotions in check. If he lost control now, he wouldn't be able to think straight, and he needed every bit of his focus to find Delilah.
As soon as he stepped inside, the officer on duty, Detective Coleman, looked up from his desk and gestured for him to take a seat.
"We ran the checks," Coleman said, not bothering with pleasantries. "No texts, no calls, no emails between Delilah and Mark."
Hunter clenched his fists, his jaw tightening. He had expected as much, but hearing it confirmed made his blood boil. "If Delilah didn't tell him about the result of my meeting with the ladies, then he had to have found out some way."
"Or he could have figured it out through the news. He saw the news she put out after all," Coleman pointed out.
