-Hawkins lab-
[General P.O.V]
"A deal? You want to make a deal with me?"
-Flashback start-
"PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR, NOW!"
Arlo, seeing all these guns being pointed at him by these agents in hazmat suits, didn't take his time to think. He was already on edge to the point that the slightest yelp would activate his fury. And this was like pouring a bucket of water over an already full cup. He hurriedly launched a barrier to his left where agents were most numerous, causing chaos to ensue as everyone began shooting at him.
Those who succsesfully hit their mark immediatly recieved very deep wounds due the ability's reflective damage, whilst the others who where hit by the moving barrier recieved damage from not only the golden murder bubble's strike but also from the reflected impact the colision between the two created, causing them to be grinded into unrecognisable mangled body parts, their blood splattering all over the wall.
"HOLY SHIT! WHAT THE FUCK ARE WE UP AGAINST?!" A young personnel yelled in despair, realising their efforts to contain this anomaly were futile.
The blond teenager further pursuied his offensive by crushing the remaining soldiers who had not stopped shooting despite their grave wounds.
"STOP!" An elderly man with gray hair cried out, obtaining with success the attention of the people fighting down below.
"Everybody stand down!" he continued.
"Please calm down young man, what happened is in the past, I'm sure it was nothing but a small missunderstanding. I assure you that it is in neither of our best interests to fight," He announced.
"Why should I calm down, your men were yelling and basically shoving guns down my throat, when I did nothing wrong," the reborn adult let out in frustration.
"Well that was the only reasonable thing to do considering you showed up unannounced, and they knew nothing of your intentions." The older male reasoned
'Damn, he has a point. Maybe I did go a little overboard.' Arlo thought to himself, regretting his previous actions.
"Sorry about that, I spent two consecutive days with monsters breathing down my neck, without rest and I haven't eaten or drunk since a bit, so sorry for being a little on edge." He apologised, knowing very well it wasn't exactly enough.
"I understand, don't worry,"
"Tell you what, let's forget about our grievences and talk about what took place during your stay on the other side over a nice warm meal."
"I think that's a great idea,"
-Flashback end-
"So you propose that I stay back at your laboratory for the experimentation and testing of my powers?"
"That's grossly oversymplifying it but yes, you got the general idea," The scientist, who's name turned out to Dr. Martin Brenner, confirmed.
"If I agree, then my life will be over before it will even begin though," I pointed out.
"You know what? I can do your whole testing shenanigans, but I don't want to be confined inside Hawkins lab. I'm a teenager you know, let me live my life." I continued.
Brenner argued back as I took a huge mouthfull of lasagna pasta in my mouth, savoring its taste.
"You are destined for great things, Arlo. You can't waste your potential like this,"
"Doc, not to be mean or anything, but you don't seem to understand do you? You can't force me to do anything. Your guns hurt you instead of hurting me, and I am stronger than even your best agents by manifold.
I feel guilty for killing so many men and women for what is essentially no reason, so I don't mind doing a few of your chores in exchange, of course, for papers, a house, electricity, money for groceries and your total honesty."
"Oh and one last thing, don't make me do any horrible stuff, please. You will regret it otherwise."
The man sighed in disappointment.

[ Arlo's P O.V ]
I heard about a funeral for a certain Will Byers. Apparently, he drowned in the quarries near the forrest.
"Wait till we tell Will that Jennifer Hayes was crying at his funeral," I heard a kid with no teeth say to his friends.
Well that is just super disrespectful, I'm not an annoying Karen though nor do I know the guy, so I'm not going to go out of my way to tell him that.
Poor girl though, if she was crying like that then that Will kid must have been her boyfriend or her crush... Something along those lines I guess.
When the pastor finish his speech and the coffin had been buried, I left. I was basically a stranger here anyway and Brenner had already given me my first mission.
He wanted to me to meet with him at the lab in the evening apparently. I'll see what he wants from me. I'll have to go back and get more that delicious lasagna from there because I don't know if it was me who was hungry or that thing that just taste super good.
