When Sophia saw Diana, she froze in place. In her arms, Laura was still shaken, holding on tightly to her, with red eyes staring at the unfamiliar aunt.
"Sophia?"
"It's me, Diana!"
Diana's voice was faint, but with a hint of choking emotion. She stepped forward and hugged Sophia, her eyes burning with the sting of unshed tears, fighting to hold them back.
She was still alive. She was really still alive. Thank goodness.
"Sophia, where have you been all these years? How is it that I'm seeing you here?"
Sophia actually had a lot of questions she wanted to ask Diana, about how she had spent the last few years and how Cronus was doing.
She had also asked Capone and Mandy, but they had only casually mentioned that both Diana and Cronus had left the port town some time ago.
The grievances between them had been put aside due to the tragic accident when Sophia had fallen into the sea.
Neither Capone nor Cronus had the strength to continue dwelling on past enmities.
