Over the weekend at noon, the driver stopped the car beneath Xia Zhiqiu's apartment building. It took her quite a while to show up, and Xia Lu almost didn't recognize her that moment she appeared.
Xia Zhiqiu wore a knee-length dress and draped a camel cashmere shawl over her shoulders. Her hair was meticulously tied back, she had applied light makeup, and didn't miss out on a necklace or earrings. What was even more outrageous was that she, who never wore high heels, was now donning a pair of stilettos that were seven centimeters high.
"Mom, what on earth are you up to..." Xia Lu immediately opened the car door, ran up to her and asked. "Why are you dressed like this?"
Xia Zhiqiu twirled around in front of her daughter, full of pride, "How about that? Don't I look quite presentable when I dress up? I ran to the mall this morning especially for this. Isn't it beautiful?"
