Third Person POV
Max was drinking coffee and having a late-night snack. Being accustomed to the darkness, he didn't even bother turning on the light as he moved through the kitchen. That was when he heard a car approaching.
Ever since he started investigating the criminal organization behind what had happened to his sister, he had become completely paranoid. That's why, just from hearing the sound of a car pulling up, he quickly placed his plate in the sink, erasing any evidence that someone had been there.
Then, he hid in the first cabinet he found.
And on that night, his paranoia ended up being rewarded. A black car stopped right in front of his house. Not only that, but he could hear the men breaking the security cameras around the property before silently entering his home.
Seeing this, Max quickly turned off his computer remotely using his phone. He also activated a secret night-vision camera he had bought and placed inside his room.
