Chapter 47 - The Brownie Incident part 2

The showers did little to alleviate the strange sensations swirling within Jimin, Jungkook, and Taehyung. The cold water initially shocked them, but the effects of the brownies seemed to wash over them in waves, making them giddy, then anxious, then strangely philosophical.

Back in the living room, Jin paced anxiously, while J-Hope tried to maintain a semblance of calm. Namjoon, meanwhile, was frantically searching online for information about the potential effects of whatever "blue pill" Suga's friend had added to the brownies. The search results were far from reassuring, ranging from mild euphoria to… well, things they definitely didn't want to experience.

"This is insane," Jin muttered, running a hand through his hair. "Why would Suga even bring something like that into the dorm?"

"Let's not jump to conclusions," J-Hope said, though his voice lacked conviction. "We don't know what it is yet. Maybe it's just a strong sleeping aid."

Namjoon snorted. "A sleeping aid that makes you want to cry and giggle uncontrollably? I highly doubt it."

The sound of singing filled the air. It was Taehyung, belting out a ballad at the top of his lungs while dancing in the hallway. His voice cracked, and he burst into tears again.

"Okay, that's it," Jin said, striding towards the hallway. "Taehyung-ah, come here. Let's just sit down and talk."

He gently led Taehyung back to the living room, where Jungkook was attempting to do a handstand against the wall, giggling uncontrollably. Jimin was sitting on the couch, staring blankly at the television, his eyes wide and unfocused.

"This is a nightmare," Jin whispered.

Just then, the door burst open, and Suga rushed in, his face pale with concern.

"Where are they?" he demanded, his eyes darting around the room.

He spotted the three youngest members and rushed over to them.

"Guys, I'm so sorry," he said, his voice filled with guilt. "I had no idea Hyu would put something like that in the brownies. Are you okay?"

Jimin blinked at him, his expression vacant. "Okay? What is okay? Is anything really okay?"

Suga sighed. This was going to be a long night.

"Okay, everyone, listen up," Namjoon said, clapping his hands to get their attention. "Suga is here now. We're going to figure this out together. First, we need to know exactly what you're feeling."

He turned to Jimin. "Jimin-ah, can you describe what you're experiencing?"

Jimin struggled to find the words. "It's like… everything is amplified. Like the colors are brighter, and the sounds are louder, and I can feel every single emotion at once."

"And you, Jungkook?" Namjoon asked.

Jungkook, still slightly giggly, replied, "Everything is funny! Even things that aren't funny are funny! And I feel really warm and tingly."

Taehyung, wiping his eyes, added, "I feel really sad, but also really happy. And really confused."

Suga listened intently, his face etched with worry. He felt responsible for this mess, and he was determined to fix it.

"Okay," he said. "We need to keep them hydrated. And try to keep them calm. Maybe put on some relaxing music?"

J-Hope nodded and grabbed his phone, searching for a calming playlist. Jin started making herbal tea, hoping it would have a soothing effect.

The rest of the evening was a blur of unpredictable behavior. Jungkook started breakdancing in the middle of the living room, his movements surprisingly fluid despite his altered state. Taehyung alternated between fits of laughter and tears, clinging to Jin and Suga for comfort. Jimin became philosophical, questioning the meaning of life and the nature of reality.

Namjoon and J-Hope took turns keeping watch, making sure they didn't hurt themselves or do anything they would regret. Suga, plagued by guilt, stayed by their side, offering words of reassurance and doing his best to keep them grounded.

As the hours passed, the effects of the brownies slowly began to wear off. The laughter subsided, the tears dried up, and the philosophical musings faded. Exhaustion replaced the euphoria, and one by one, the three youngest members drifted off to sleep, finally finding some peace.

The older members, equally exhausted, collapsed on the remaining couches, relief washing over them. The brownie incident was finally coming to an end.

"Well," Jin said, breaking the silence. "That was… an experience."

Namjoon nodded wearily. "Let's just say, we won't be having brownies anytime soon."

Suga sighed. "I'm so sorry for everything. I'll be making sure Hyu understands the severity of what they did."

J-Hope patted him on the back. "It's okay, Suga. It wasn't your fault. We all make mistakes. The important thing is that we're all okay."

As the first rays of dawn peeked through the curtains, they knew they would never forget the brownie incident. It was a chaotic, stressful, and ultimately bonding experience that had tested their patience and resilience. And while they hoped never to repeat it, they knew it had brought them closer together, reminding them of the importance of trust, communication, and looking out for each other, no matter what kind of unexpected surprises life threw their way.
