As the clock struck 5 p.m., Ethan exhaled deeply and pushed his chair back.
Grabbing his jacket from the back of his chair, he shrugged it on while reaching for his phone. Just as he was about to step out, it rang.
Cole's name flashed across the screen and Ethan answered immediately.
"What's up Cole?"
"I'm good bro... We need to meet up tonight at my place," Cole's voice was hushed but urgent. "It's about Alexander."
"Alexander?" Ethan's grip on the phone tightened. "You found something?"
"Yeah, and It's important. We need to talk in person."
"No problem. I'll be there soon."
The call ended, leaving Ethan deep in thought. He had pushed aside the issue of Alexander for a while, but now it was back on the table.
Sighing sharply, he walked out of his office, heading for the company's parking lot. As he unlocked his car and slid into the driver's seat, he noticed a familiar figure in the distance... Ivy.
