NOAH
I hated this. I hated that I was quickly beginning to realise that Ciara was a runner.
She ran whenever things were hard, whenever they were out of her control. She ran when things didn't go the way she expected.
And worst of all, she always seemed to be running from me.
I hadn't even done anything this time. Why would she run? Where the hell did she run to?
I considered calling Marcus to ask if she was with him, if she had deserted me after leaving that note just to be with him.
But it made no sense. Ciara couldn't have left me for Con man, right?
"For the love of God, calm the fuck down. I can't have you panicking like this!" Luke snapped. I didn't bother sparing my personal assistant a glance, but I did slow down the car a little bit.
We were racing to the bakery, and Luke was concerned that I was losing my mind.
"Reduce the speed further. Make it lower than that. Or else we are going to die before we even get a chance to find her," he stated again.
