Ciara took a deep breath, and I could see that she was nervous.
What could she possibly have to say that would make me upset?
If it was related to that stupid Con man, then I guess I have to reassure her that it was okay.
Whatever happened between her and Marcus was in the past. She made a mistake and she admitted to it. There was no point in talking about it and making her feel worse, now that she had come to terms with the wrongness of what she did.
But if there was something else and it was making her nervous, well, she just had to say it and let's get it over with.
I was too worried about her to be mad.
She took another deep breath, closed her eyes, opened it, and finally parted her lips to speak.
I got momentarily distracted by those lips. The ones I was kissing just a few seconds ago. I wondered if whatever she had to say could wait, and I seriously considered kissing her again.
