Without wasting any more time than they already had, Violet instantly asked Henry to get what the witch asked for. As long as the babies weren't going to die, it was a price she could definitely pay, considering the fact that the consequences were steeper than she could afford.
While Henry was off, Violet began to dress up in the room, satisfied to see that Cain's beast no longer moved as close to her as before. Although she tried hard not to show it, after the attack she had experienced, her body constantly felt like it was in fight-or-flight mode.
"We can go now!" Violet said the second she was done dressing in black pants and a black shirt. She took a second look at herself to ensure that nothing was wrong before turning to Uva, who stood impatiently by the door.
"The sun is setting! The faster we go, the faster we can return!" Uva said, standing in front of the broken-down entrance of the room, warily staring at the beast that lay on the ground not far from Violet.
