Viella followed Iris's gaze and saw what—or rather who—she was looking at. It was Caspian. He was standing next to Marie, speaking to a man with lightly tinted green skin and a long, horned nose. One hand held a tray with two glasses of what she assumed was bubbling beer, and the other held a white cloth.
She blinked. Never in her life had she seen a man with green skin.
"He's looking this way. Do you know him?" Iris asked. She put her legs down from the table, then leaned forward on it like a cat.
Viella looked back. "Yes, I know him. Do you... like him?" she asked. Viella always knew Caspian was handsome, but she had never met anyone who openly lusted after him.
"Hmm..." She bit her lower lip. "Do you know if he's in a relationship?"
"No. No, he's not," Viella answered, wondering to herself, Should I tell her he's a prince? But then she decided maybe it was better that no one knew who he was. It was less eye-catching.
