Chapter 38 - An Angelic Court

(You should go read my new novel, Danganronpa: Media Madness.)

(AN: I know I haven't done one of these in a while, and I really don't wanna sound like an arrogant fuck here, but why are a bunch of novels on here so damn ass? I'll be scrolling through some of these stories, and they'll just have the same "I'm so edgy and cool and will steal all of the women, including my own sister, for some reason, and kill all the good guys cuz I'm so evil!!!" MCs, and it's just so damn boring! You know what? I'm going to start recommending authors/stories that I think are good.

(Go read some fics by Evans_The_Writer; he's great! I personally don't like his JJK fic, but his Marvel one is way better than the shit I'm making and anything else on this god-forsaken site.)

"Sera, you can't be serious, right?" An angel asked her. She was much shorter than Sera, standing at an even six feet. She had silver-like skin, black lips, and mid-thigh-length hair with bangs styled in a somewhat messy way, colored in a gradient of periwinkle with noticeable white tips.

She wore princess-inspired clothing, which consists of a light periwinkle gown with a darker-colored stripe around the high-frilled collar, darker-colored trimming and details on the short light blue puffed sleeves, a darker-blue star pattern on the chest, and darker-blue triangular-like patterns on the hem with small diamond shapes between the mounds. In addition, she accessorizes with a light blue sash worn around her waist and wears a pair of white tights underneath.

Both she and Sera were sitting down in a long hallway painted in a brilliant white. It was styled like a waiting hall, with six chairs around the room, facing each other with a grand door styled in gold at the end of the hallway. "I know what I'm doing may sound harsh, Emily, but I need to do this." Sera said resolutely.

"Why would you need to do this, Sera?" Emily raised her voice and got up from the chair, putting her arms out in confusion. "Why the fuck would you need to call a hit upon an innocent soul? Tell me!" She yelled. "Calm down, Emily." Sera firmly said as Emily flinched back. "You are not aware of the gravity of this situation, just how much this could affect Heaven as a whole. It's not about just one soul; it's about everything in creation. You are merely a child and should stay in your place." She stated vaguely.

""Now calling Sera for her case." The intercom blared out.

"We will talk about this later." She said as she got up and walked through the door with a thud, leaving Emily alone in the cold waiting room with her thoughts.

When Sera walked through the door, the room was much bigger than she thought it would be. It was mostly blue with hints of gold; two rows of three angels were above, a white podium at the bottom with Sera.

She walked towards the podium, standing on it as it floated in the air, reaching the other Angels' height. "Angels of the court, I come to you today to order the immediate execution of James, the one who has created a new magic." She didn't waste any time and got straight to the point, her gaze full of fiery determination.

"This is unlike you, Sera, though I am not entirely dismissive of your point." Michael said, leaning forward in his seat. "Though, I must ask, what brought about this sudden bloodlust, sister?"

Sera cleared her throat and slammed her hands down on the podium. "Micheal, have you seen the correlation between the making of new magic and tragedies? Adolf Hitler, in his maddening pursuit to make the so-called "superior species," started World War 2 and the death of millions of Jews. The Ku Klux Klan developed mind manipulation magic and caused suffering across America, turning an entire generation into blind racists that murdered and maimed others because of the color of their skin."

Her hands gripped the podium, and her voice was tinged with a tone of determination. "Humanity in general cannot be trusted with magic, let alone someone in hell! What could he do when others before him were still on the mortal plane? This is exactly why I propose his immediate execution; he cannot be left alive with magic, lest he cause another tragedy like the humans before him!"

"Sera, don't you think it would be a bit far to kill him though?" Raphael said, scratching the back of his head. "Yeah, Sera, I mean, you're suggesting the death penalty for a crime that hasn't even been committed yet?" Gabriel asked from Raphael's back. "Need I remind you, brother and sister, that this James person is in hell?" Sera fiercely shot back.

"Need I remind you, hell is the bottom of the barrel, the lowest rung ever. I may disagree with Adam's yearly genocides, but I have no small amount of belief that the death of James would benefit everyone else in creation as we know it." Sera looked around and yelled to the court.

"Sera, please. Would the death of one being in hell really have that much of a positive impact on everything as we know it? Don't you think you're exaggerating just a tiny bit?" Sera quickly glared at Gabriel. "Do you know just how much crime goes on in hell compared to earth, Sister?"

Gabriel stayed silent as Sera continued her tirade. "There is a direct 464% increase in general crime in hell compared to the entire earth, an almost 7x increase in rape, and television directly reports how murder is done in gruesome and torturous ways, glorifying it. Are you telling me, brothers and sisters, that the person who made that magic made down there could really be responsible with his power and not use it to cause suffering?"

Raphael shifted uncomfortably in his seat, crossing his broad arms. "... Say that we will kill this James guy; how would we even do so? Our agreement with Lucifer states that we can only kill sinners on extermination days, and if you haven't noticed, it's still about 8 months until the next one."

And like a balloon, all of the passion and heat in Sera almost immediately flowed out. She tried to stutter out an argument but couldn't formulate anything to say. She would've continued to try and sputter out an argument if an obnoxious laugh hadn't interrupted her.

"AHAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH."

Everybody turned their heads to the other side of the court, seeing Adam laughing his head off in the other booth.

"AHAHAHAHAAHHAHAAHAHA… Oh, you fucks haven't figured it out yet? Let me laugh even harder. AHHAAHHAAHAHAAHAAHAAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

"....Adam, will you just be laughing, or will you contribute anything to the conversation?" Micheal coolly asked, secretly putting his hand into a fist in anger. "Oh, calm down, you damn Bronze Age drama queen; there's a reason why I'm laughing like a damn fool listening to you chucklefucks." Adam crudely said, stretching out his wings and flying in front of the booth holding the other angels.

"Listen good and listen well, dumbasses. When Sera's big fucking book glows, it means that a mortal has something new, right?" He said condescendingly, "Just get to the damn point, you big asshole!" Gabriel yelled out, visible anger on her face. "Alright, lolita, don't get your panties in a twist!"

She gritted her teeth as Adam continued with his explanation, pretending to push up glasses on his face. "Look, dipshits, when has a sinner ever been classified as mortal? For 300, Micheal, who are the only species in the afterlife and earth that are classified as mortal in any and every meaning?" Adam points at Michael, a large grin on his mask as he sees his face as he starts to put the pieces together.

"Adam… You can't be saying..." Michael started off in disbelief. "DING DING DING, you're right! That James dumbfuck is most definitely one of my little cum babies. He is human!" The whole court got silent with this new revelation. "But if James is human, then how in Father's name did he end up in hell?" For the first time, Michael lost his cool as his fingers started to rapidly tap the booth.

Adam shrugged. "Like hell if I know, but there's your answer about killing the little shit. Just send in one of the fighter angels to take care of his ass and get it over with." He flew back to his booth, where he lay down on the chairs and started to loudly eat a plate of ribs he had conjured. "Or don't; I really couldn't give less of a fuck."

The court settled in silence; Adam's words giving everybody a much-needed reality check. "I think we all can agree that we should send someone, but who should it be?" Gabriel questioned, "We will need someone who is very fast and efficient, not dallying around with their prey… I think I have the perfect man for this." Micheal said, a rare smile adorning his face as he grabbed his halo and had a one-sided conversation.

"Hello, Cassiel, Are you willing to take on an extermination?"

"...Yes, I know that it's too early, but are you willing to or not? We have found a loophole."

"... Really, does he have to come with you? Fine, I'll allow it. Come to my office at 7:30PM, and we'll work out a timeframe."

"Yes, as long as the target is eliminated, then I'll give you and your boyfriend a better bed."

"...I'm thinking December 31st, right before New Year's."

(By the way, the chapters are so inconsistent because of the way I write in general. You see, I write whenever I get the inspiration and a general outline of a chapter; if I don't have one of the two, then no chapter for you.)
