"So your theory is that because the regalia are shattered remnants of my previous power... They could somehow rejuvenate me to my 'former glory?'" I asked, piecing together Michael's train of thought within my own mind.
"As intelligent as always, Lord." He responded, confirming what I had pieced together in my head, looks of prideful amazement bore into my sides—who else then Gabriel and Uriel.
"Assuming this works wouldn't I have to be exposed to the energy contained with the Regalia?" I asked, the pieces slowly falling together.
"That's too dangerous!" Gabriel announced slamming his hands onto the table in concern. It seems he had caught onto something I was still missing.
"Gabriel, calm down the final decision is the for the Lord to decide." Uriel spoke up, her tone steady. Apparently, she too had realised something I hadn't.
"I think I'm missing something here...?" I spoke up, my voice slightly quiet but loud enough for them to hear.
"Mythoria Academy, The regalia school. It teaches young human adolescence to fully master their Regalia." Michael's words sparked a flicker of hope, quickly growing into a blazing flame of determination. 'A school? Could I finally lead a normal life?'
"Why would a school be dangerous?" I questioned, my gaze swishing around the thoughtful expressions of the group.
"The power that leaked from your avatar weakened the boundaries separating the dimensions, acting as a powerful lure that drew creatures from all corners of existence. Rifts tore open the skies of the human world, spilling numerous waves of monsters onto the land. The original purpose of the schools to cultivate a force capable of fighting against the hordes." Gabriel explained, his expression entirely serious.
'Weakened the gap between dimensions? Countless hordes of monsters? What world have I been sent into...' I thought, feeling the weight of the realisations settle in. Soon, whether it be my responsibilities as a god or my soon to come difficulties as a student, I would be swamped in endless tasks...
"Precisely why I chose Mythoria!" Michael countered, his tone firm as he argued against Gabriel.
Staring coolly, Gabriel sneered, his disapproval evident in the subtle twist of his lips, though he kept it silent.
"Unless, maybe you don't think our Lord is capable enough?" Michael teased, a sharp edge to his words, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips.
Gabriel's eyes flickered with surprise. "I would never state such a thing!" He exclaimed in a panic, clearly rattled. Michael had chosen his words carefully, knowing exactly how to hit Gabriel's weak point when it came to me.
"Excuse me, but I'm quite intrigued by this plan. How exactly does Mythoria Academy affect my safety?" Michael shifted his attention from Gabriel towards me, a victorious smirk playing on his lips. Gabriel, noticing my interest, quickly discarded any previous disinterest.
"Mythoria Academy—it's the most prestigious regalia school on Earth. It's built on 'Aetheris Haven,' an island specifically created for the academy. Only staff members and students are permitted entry. It's immensely large boasting residential areas, commercial districts, and countless training zones, all accessible to students and teachers alike." Michael explained.
Amazement washed over me like a stormed winds as the sheer greatness of the school settled in. "The island and all school facilities are also powered by a neutron star." Uriel said with an innocent smile. I felt my jaw drop to the floor.
"Pardon, did you just say a neutron star?" I asked half-convinced I had misheard what she said. "What about the gravitational pull? Wouldn't it completely destroy the school— no, not even that! The entire world?" I shouted, disbelief laced in my tone.
"As sharp as always, Lord!" Uriel echoed with an amused smile, "To prevent that exact catastrophe, Lunaria of the Stellaris family— now more commonly known as 'The Starbinder'—used her family's innate regalia, 'Void Fire,' as they call it to tear open the fabrics of space and create a separate dimension where the star can rest. In this dimension, its gravity doesn't effect the world, yet its energy remains usable."
'They say such things as if they're everyday occurrences...' I thought, "She sounds... incredible. A human capable of containing a neutron star? That— that sounds impossible," I stammered my voice trailing off in disbelief.
"It shouldn't be... She's an anomaly, even to us angels," Gabriel explained, her greatness only magnified by the weight of his words. "She has incredible proficiency for each element, angelic physical prowess, and near-mastered control over the innate regalia 'Void Fire.' All of that, and she's only twenty-four years old." His explanation only stoked the flames of my already immense image of the woman.
"Lord, may I steer our conversation back to Mythoria?" Uriel interjected, a warm smile spreading across her face. "You may, Uriel." I answered, still trying to picture the noble of Stellaris in my mind.
"Mythoria academy is constantly protected by an invisible barrier called the 'Nebula Veil,'" She explained. "its perpetually formed and repaired by the power of the neutron star. Only monsters of the catastrophe class or higher would be able to break through." While her explanations was useful, I now had another new question.
"Catastrophe class? Is there a ranking system for the monsters?" I asked curiously.
"There is but, you'll learn of that in the Regalia school to keep this topic flowing smoothly for now." Michael chimed in, going silent right after so that Uriel could continue her speech.
"If you do chose to enter the school Gabriel will easily be able to find you a place as a transfer student, and Michael will deal with your living arrangements and funding." She answered, smile beaming like the rising sun.
"Then what would you be doing—" Before I could finish, she cut me off.
"However, in the meantime, while they handle that, you and I need to determine if you've retained any powers. Michael and Gabriel have incredible influence within the human world, but if you haven't got at least one power to label as your Regalia... Things will become a lot harder."
Extra Info:
Monster Classes!
1. Lesser Tier
Class F: Weak creatures that wouldn't pose a threat to the weakest of Regalia users. At most they could damage a few buildings and harm regular human civilians.
Examples: Lesser Elementals, Pebble Golems, and Lesser Sprites.
Class E: Slightly more dangerous but still easily manageable. Could cause minor damage to small towns, afflict severe injuries to civilians, but are not a threat to larger communities.
Examples: Common Goblin, Slime Horde, Giant Rat, and Wild Boar.
2. Mid Tier
Class D: Monsters considered moderately dangerous, capable of causing significant harm to individuals and small groups. Left on there own they could cause significant damage to towns and minor damage to cities. With decent training one regalia user is enough to defeat most monsters of this class. They could propose a threat to Regalia users who are not prepared / unaware of their attack.
Examples: Giant Spider, Troll, Gargoyle, Minotaur, Basilisk, and Dire Wolves.
Class C: Significantly more dangerous then monsters of Class D, with the ability to cause widespread destruction across cities or even entire regions. These creatures often require a group of well-trained regalia users.
2. Higher Tier
Examples: Manticore (Alpha/Ancient), Wyvern, Behemoth, Frost Giant, Dire Chimera, Drake, Lich, and Gorgon.
Class B: Highly dangerous creatures capable of wreaking havoc and chaos in multiple regions, often you will need a party of experienced regalia users to take down a single monster of this class. While these monsters do not have world-shattering abilities they are not a threat that can be ignored, often toppling entire cities.
Examples: Lesser Dragon, Hydra, Lich King, Higher Elemental, Lesser Demons, Griffin Lord, and Nightmare Beasts.
Class A: Incredibly powerful creatures capable of destroying entire nations. These monsters are a formidable threat and are taken with the utmost seriousness. No regalia user should fight these monsters alone unless rated above the tier of the monster. The regular group number is usually above 10 depending on the severity of the monster.
Examples: Dragon, Ancient Hydra, Demons, Elemental Titan, Void Beast, and World Serpent.
3. Extreme Tier
Catastrophe: Cataclysmic entities capable of wiping out humanity. These creatures transcend traditional levels of power, being capable of not just destroying civilisations but entire species. These creatures aren't bound by the usual class system, instead being labelled as 'natural disasters,' able to end the world as we know it.
These monsters should not be fought.
Only one of these monsters was ever recorded defeated. A Void Wyrm, capable of tearing holes through space, was defeated by Lunaria Stellaris.
Examples: Celestial Dragons, Greater Demons, Vampire King/Queen, and Void Wyrm.
Armageddon: Beings of unfathomable power, capable of challenging and defeating angels. They exist beyond the bounds of space and time and are thought only to be a myth by the humans. Their abilities can defy the laws of physics, and they stand at the pinnacle of all monsters.
