"Yami!" Kazuko, Asahu, Mitsuki and Kaikuh shouted as they saw what happened.
"He's tough so you guys don't need to worry about him" Gildart said as his hands were folded while watching the fight.
"Dr Mayumi, I have a favor to ask, please can you heal them" Gildart asked.
"You don't have any right to tell me what to do, but since you said a favor guess I can help out, although that just means you're indebted to me" Dr Mayumi replied.
"Fine" Gildart replied.
"Good, we now have a deal" Dr Mayumi said happily.
"Okay kids, I'll advise you to follow Dr Mayumi so that you can be ready for stage 3 of the exams" Gildart said.
"But sir..." Kazuko replied as Gildart immediately shouted, "That's an order, and if you don't go, you'd be disqualified"
Kazuko, Asahu and Mitsuki said nothing as they bent there heads and followed Dr Mayumi.
"Sir I can stay right, besides, you have no reason to chase me out of here" Kaikuh said.
"I don't have a problem with you but the rest needs to heal up" Gildart replied.
"Yami" Kaikuh thought as she looked at Yami panting as he was running while dodging its attack as he was bleeding all over his body.
"Yami can't win if he continues keeping his distance, what's he thinking?" Gildart said as he folded his hands and stared at him.
"I have to keep my distance as much as possible, if I want to make the fight last long, but my only problem is that this beast specializes in long-range attacks too" Yami thought as he jumped out of the way, dodging the beast claw slash marks.
"Come on Natsu, I can't keep this going for long" Yami thought.
"Wait, Yami is getting hurt badly because of this Natsu boy he recently met, but why, why would he do all this for someone he barely knows?" Kaikuh thought as she played with her shirt been worried.
The stage 2 instructor received a call as he excused himself and went towards the corner to answer it.
"Hello..." The stage 2 instructor said as he was interrupted by the voice coming from his watch.
"Sorry for the intrusion sir but we have a little problem" the voice said.
"What's the problem?" the stage 2 instructor asked.
"I know this might sound crazy but there is a boy called Natsu that is saying he's meant to be in the hunters exam, and he's begging me to show him the place" the man said as he was standing close to a telephone on the wall as Natsu watched him make his call.
"Oh, bring him to lab 90" the stage 2 instructor said.
"But sir I don't think he should take the exam, he's in bad shape and in need of medical care" the man said as he looked at Natsu with consign.
"Don't worry about him and just bring him as fast as you can here, your job is to make sure he arrives here really quick because the exam is about to end, got it" the stage 2 instructor said.
"Sure, yes sir, I'll be there in a flash" the man replied as he cut the call and held Natsu saying, "We have to hurry, come this way, quickly" as he ran as fast as he can.
Natsu and the man ran through the hall as the man entered an indoor car and began driving really fast.
The man quickly used a circular device to know where lab 90 was as he quickly drove to the place.
The man created so much chaos as he almost jammed people and made people writing projects to scatter and so many more.
They finally arrived at an elevator as people where about to come out.
All of them ran and screamed as they rained insult on the man while he did an amazing turn as he entered into the elevator and apologized.
The man came down and pressed a button as a control panel appeared, as he typed lab 90 on the dashboard of the elevator.
The elevator started moving towards the place, and as it finally got there, he opened the door and drove really fast as he started looking for lab 90.
"Is this guy crazy, his been acting weird ever since he cut the call, what's going on?" Natsu thought as he watched the man drive through the hall as few people jumped out of the way while the man shouted "Sorry!"
He arrived at a place and pulled the breaks, as he came down of the vehicle telling Natsu to hurry.
They both ran through a hall as they opened different doors and finally arrived at a place, as the man held Natsu and said "I wish you the best of luck" and threw Natsu really high into the air as he screamed while flying.
Meanwhile Dr Mayumi have finished treating the rest as they arrived where Gildart was.
"Your done so fast" Gildart asked.
"Yeah, did you think I'll take much time, anyways they're now as good as new" Dr Mayumi replied.
Kazuko and the rest went towards Yami fight as they saw Yami block a tail swing and flew.
"He's still having a hard time" Asahu said sadly.
"That's it" Kazuko said as she started moving out of the place and thought, "I'm going to find that Natsu boy and personally drag him here myself if I have to"
The stage 2 instructor received message that Natsu was flying towards them as he pressed a button to open the roof.
"That's good, I can now easily fly out of here" Kazuko thought as she started surrounding herself with wind while going up.
"What do you think you're doing?" Mitsuki asked as she saw Kazuko floating.
"I'm going to find that useless brat, so that Yami can fight that thing well" Kazuko said.
Everyone started hearing a loud scream as Natsu then hit Kazuko chest, as they both fell to the ground.
"Shit, I thought I was a goner" Natsu said as he tried to stand up.
Natsu mistakenly place his hands on her exclusive chest as he felt something soft.
"He's dead" Asahu said as Mitsuki nodded her head.
"What's this?" Natsu said as he squeezed it.
Natsu shaked his head and saw Kazuko's chest, as he then looked up seeing her face all red and looked down, only to see his hand there as he squeezed it again.
"I'm dead" Natsu thought as she screamed and controlled wind to hit him out.
As Natsu stood up, he saw Kazuko standing angrily and gulped.
"How dare you" Kazuko screamed as she sent wind towards Natsu which threw him towards the wall as he cracked it.
"Enough!" Gildart said as he looked at them angrily.
Kaikuh eye widened as she turned towards Yami and screamed "Natsu's here, you can finally kill that thing"
The beast launched it's tail towards Yami as he dodged and grabbed it, spinning the beast, as he threw it towards the wall.
"Yami" Natsu shouted as he smiled at him.
"You fool, what took you so long?" Yami shouted as he became relieved.
"Sorry about that, I had a little problem on my way here" Natsu said as he smiled at him.
"Alright, it's time to deal with this beast properly" Yami said as a large magical energy came out from him.
"Wait" Gildart said as he then realized that Yami was buying time for Natsu.
"It all makes sense, no wonder Kazuko said she wasn't going all out and she's doing this for a friend"
"Don't tell me that Yami has manipulated the exam in a way that Natsu would arrive before it's over" Gildart thought as his eyes widened in realization.
"Yami! Don't think I don't know what you did. When you come out from that fight, just know I have a special punishment for you" Gildart shouted.
"I guess we're busted" all of them thought except from Natsu.
Yami took a deep breath and launched himself towards the beast as a large aura appeared on it doing the same thing.
They both flew towards each other as the beast tried to rip Yami.
Yami dodged its hands as the beast tried multiple times.
Yami finally shot himself under the beast as he jumped and punched it.
The beast flew up but rotated and landed on the top with its foot as it launched itself towards Yami.
As the beast was flying towards Yami, it swung its hands making slash marks to fly towards him.
Yami dodged it as the beast landed and launched its tail towards him.
Yami shifted as he dodged it and held it spinning it around.
Yami threw the beasts into the air as it flew across the place.
"Wow, Yami is pretty cool" Natsu thought as he watched the beast crash land on the ground and slid.
The best opened its mouth and screamed at Yami as it saw him heading towards it.
Yami jumped and spun himself like a drill as he saw the sound wave coming, making him to move through the noise wave.
Yami landed and looked at the beast as he saw multiple slash marks heading towards him.
Yami began dodging them while doing some stunts and acrobats as the beast launched its tail towards him.
The tail shot out a really big poisonous acid from its mouth as the beast ran towards him from the corner.
Yami jumped out, avoiding the acid that melted the ground on impact, as he tried blocking the beast.
Yami flew through the air and crash landed as he tried stoping himself.
The beast tail launched another attack as the beast ran to the side and shot so many slash marks as it continued moving and roared at Yami.
"It's fast" Yami thought as he jumped really high which caused the ground to break.
The beast jumped up to also dodge its attack, as Yami jumped towards it and punched it back to the ground, as he leaped out of there.
The beast got injured really badly which made it angry as it screamed in pains.
Yami stood at the side of the room and looked at the beast as darkish purple aura came out of the beast as it approached him.
"Wait, that's a low level C rank danger beast, does this mean that Yami is strong than Kazuko" the stage 2 instructor said in a low tone while thinking.
The beast was now serious and ready to kill Yami as they both disappeared and began fighting.
The fight was intense as Yami began to lose as the beast attacks became hard to evade, but after a long fight Yami won as he gave a final blow to the beast guts, as it coughed out blood and destroyed the wall.
"Yami won!" Kazuko said as everyone began to rejoice.
"Wow, Yami is truly amazing. I wish I could fight like that, but unfortunately I can't" Natsu thought as Gildart turned towards him and said, "It's your turn to fight, hope you're ready"
It was then everyone noticed that Natsu wasn't in a fighting condition as he had lots of scars on his body which puzzled everyone.
"Can he really win against a powerful beast in that condition" Kazuko thought as others had there own questions to ask.
"Hey, Dr Mayumi, don't you think you're being too hard on the boy, I mean just look at him, he's going to die if he goes in there to fight" the stage 2 instructor said as the contestants voiced there own opinions.
Dr Mayumi said nothing and yawned as she asked Gildart, "Aren't we going to go to the next hall?"
"We are, but right now I'm waiting for a student to arrive" Gildart said as the door opened.
"Natsu, Yami" both of them said as they shouted there names in joy and ran to hug each other, but Dr Mayumi stopped them and said, "Don't touch him Natsu! If you know what's good for you, I would advise you to keep your distance from him if you don't want to die"
They both looked at her weirdly as Yami asked, "What took you so long, and why do you look this beat up"
"It's a long story, I'll tell you when we're done with this stage of the exam" Natsu replied as Yami said "Okay" and began complementing themselves.
Gildart walked up to Yami and held his shoulder really tight showing his anger at him.
"Ouch that hurts" Yami said as Gildart pressed his shoulder.
"Look here Yami, don't think I didn't notice your act of buying time for Natsu. How dare you waste my precious time" Gildart said, but before Yami could say anything, Gildart increased his pressure and said, "It looks like you two are really close, so why don't you two surfer the same punishment."
Everyone became puzzled by what he meant by that as he continued, "From now hence forth, you are not allowed to be healed by any one until all your exams finish, got it" Gildart said as everyone had lots of objections.
"You can't just do that, he's going to die" Dr Mayumi said.
"Your the last person to tell me that, if you can do it to Natsu you shouldn't have any problem if I do it to Yami" Gildart replied.
"I know, I'm talking about the poison in his body, if he doesn't get treated now he won't even last an hour, why did you think I stopped the boys from making physical contact" Dr Mayumi said.
"So what are you suggesting" Gildart asked.
"Why don't I treat him just this once and the remaining part of the exams he would not have any treatment" Dr Mayumi said as the rest had objections.
"Fine" Gildart said as he started moving towards Natsu assigned field.
"What are you guys waiting for, let's go, we still have one last match to finish" Gildart said as he turned towards the contestants, as they began following him, even though they had lots of complaints about Yami's treatment.
