With such a ruined birthday, we both sat in the car. The morale I had in the morning was hone and my face was now pale. My mind made so many scenarios that I couldn't figure with one to believe.
The whole way home I stayed quiete. I didn't say a word. I held the box of the new phone Taylor got me close to my chest and focused outside.
"Ruby?"
I didn't turn . I didn't want to see him.
"Ru y please, talk to me."
I still said nothing. What did he want me to say exactly? Such a two faced. So he was only pretending to care so I wouldn't find out I was his charity case. Charity case, huh!
"Why are you helping me?"
I finally asked turning to look at me. He tutned a bit to look at me before for using on the road again.
"And don't lie to me! "
I said with a stun voice. He took a deep breath.
"I just wanted to gove you your life back"
He said and I looked at him with a questioning look.
"I know that...what i want to know is why are you do persistent in making me the way i was before the accident?"
I looked agead and i could tell he was sweating.
"I can't tell you....atleast not until you get the facr surgery."
I chuckled irritatedly.
"So you really will continue to lie to me?"
He didn't say a word.
"Okay, if that's what you want...two can play this game, right?"
He turned to me when we stopped at a red light.
"What do you mean by that?"
I just shrugged.
"Just know one thing...you can alter my body and make it perfect like it used to be...but you can never give me back the years I lost, and the memories I attained from the accident."
He tried to say something I could tell but nothing came out of his mouth. When the green light came on. He had no choice but to start driving. We both went silent until we reached home and when we got their, I just got out and left for my room without uttering a single word.
