Lying on his back, Felix stared at the pristine white ceiling, his thoughts a tangled web of confusion.
"Humm… they are all strange." His voice was barely above a whisper, as if saying it out loud might unravel the mystery before him. The women he had encountered were unlike any he had ever met.
"Contrary to how women should react, they don't react the way normal girls should, especially Rose and Lusi." He frowned, his thoughts deepening. They seem cold, distant… That was how they seemed on the surface, yet their actions contradicted it entirely. It was almost as if they were putting up a front… as if showing warmth or vulnerability would make them appear weak.
"Hah…" He exhaled, a deep, tired sigh escaping his lips. His chest rose and fell in rhythm with his thoughts. "On top of that, my life is now entangled with them in a world I never even knew existed."
The very idea should have terrified him. A world of vampires. A world hidden beneath the surface of reality.
