The excitement was evident in her eyes as she talked about Xavier. Amber knew her friend was deeply in love with this man. She really wished her all the best in life because she deserved it.
"Would you come with me to his party? Please don't say no. I know you too well, Amber. I know you hate parties and stuff like that, but can you do this for me, please? I really want you to come with me."
"I want you to meet him, and maybe you might find someone there," she said, and Amber knew she was serious when she said that.
"If I should go with you, it isn't because of any man. I only want to be there to support my friend, and nothing else."
Emily beamed with joy. "Is this a yes or no? Will you come with me, then? Please don't say no, I beg of you."
Amber chuckled. "What do you think this is about? Of course, I want to go with you. I want to see the man who makes my friend's heart flutter. Don't you think it's a nice idea?"
Smoky jumped on her. "I can't believe this!" She was so happy.
