Lucien was displeased by his words while Malvo took his annoyance with ease, as if he was unbothered by the stronger creature's despise. Even in the field of vampires, he hadn't taken part to his mother's ambition by turning into a vampire. It was a rather dangerous risk he took to remain a human but when asked why, Malvo simply answered because he didn't have to.
