Is what appeared in the "Ability Tab" that was floating infront of me. This new development was completely out of my expectations. Sure, seeing the"Dormant Meta-Human " trait told me that I had powers but getting this power right now was a surprise. Though this is a nice thing, it has its own drawbacks. Now, I might get targeted as a mutant by the government and I might get dragged into the conflicts of the "Brotherhood of Mutants" and the "X-Men".
With nothing else to do, I decided to check my attribute window and trait tab to get an idea of what power I might have developed. This was the result:

3.Tenacious: Even in the face of difficulties, the user will not give up and will rise to face challenges. Gives you a passive willpower boost that gives you some mental resistance.
The awakening of my ability seems to have also upgraded my body, luck and charisma stat. Now, I need to name this power. 'Hmm... What to name this? Well, since I have neglected my responsibility to this world as the sacrifice, I need to name it something associated with it. Plus this should act as a constant reminder of my neglect to the consequences of my actions or in this case inaction. I could have prevented the fate of some people but here I am now, not doing anything for my own benefit. Don't misunderstand, I don't feel any guilt or remorse. Also this should be a homage to the origin of Spider-Man's origin. Hmmm...Responsibility...Consequences... Inaction... That's it! Inaction is a byproduct of neglect and neglect leads to decay! So I'll name this power Acedia. Plus it sounds cool. Yup, I totally named it so because of these reasons, not because it sounds cool or anything.' I thought. Instantly, a message popped up saying:

'Wait! My power will develop according to the name I give it?! Then if I gave it some name related to a mythical figure with abilities related to my power, I can get it!?! Hey system can I change the name?!?!?! Please!!!!' I immediately thought trying to plead with the system, but I got no reply. Sigh.... guess I gotta take what I have, no use crying over spilled milk.
Now I have to choose my future course of action. Seeing as I come under the 'Alpha' catagory, I'm sure the 'Brotherhood of Mutants' and the 'X-Men' may be on the move to find me, but if I'm lucky, they will be busy with the temper tantrums of the 'Phoenix'. Now, why don't I use this power for a quick cash grab without offending the law. That's right 'voices in my head'!!!! Your boy, Peter is about to become a vigilante and steal from criminals. Now, I just have to make a costume for myself and I'll be set.
No One's POV:
Peter's awakening had sent a surge of untraceable energy across the continent and sadly all the mutant factions became aware of his existence because the phoenix wasn't throwing any temper tantrums. Sad indeed. Hell even Gwen's spider sense warmed her about some impending danger due to Peter's awakening. Now we switch over to their point of views.
Charles Xavier's POV:
I was just searching for any new mutants appearing across the globe when the cerebro detected a alpha level mutant, bordering the level of omega level. I need to find them fast! " Scott! Jean! Kitty! Logan!Hank! Get the 'Blackbird' ready! An alpha level mutant just appeared in New York! We need to get to them before Erik does!" I sent a mental message to the X-Men. I just hope I'm not too late, but I couldn't help but get a bad feeling about this as if something bad was coming. I just hope we are not too late.
Erik Lehnsherr's POV:
I was relaxing in my room when I heard someone knock at the door. "Come in", I said and the door was opened by Raven. "Erik! An alpha level mutant almost reaching the omega level was just found in New York! We are not sure where they are because they stopped using their power immediately after awakening it, but we have found their appearance in the vicinity of Queens! This is our chance. We need to act before Charles does!" Raven said in a hurry.
'An alpha level almost reaching the omega level, they could be a nice addition to the Brotherhood. With a strong member, more mutants will be willing to ally with us and then one day, we can show that Mutants are superior to humanity. Now we have to get to this new mutant before that sly bastard, Charles does.' I thought. Without any hesitation I told Raven,"Well what are you waiting for? Let's go find our new member". We immediately gathered some members and left the base in search of the new mutant.
Emma Frost's POV:
Life has been pretty fantastic since Shaw died. Now the control of the entire 'Hellfire club' is under me. That man abused me fearing that I'll take control of the 'Hellfire club' using my powers, but it was this very action that made me betray him, but still I miss him. Even though he abused me, he was the only I had after my family abandoned me. Now here I am, a eighteen year old, controlling the 'Hellfire Club'. Just as I was relaxing in my lounge, I got a call from "Blindspot". Hinata Shirone maybe able to remove others memories but she can't do anything to a telepath like me.
"What is it Hinata?" I answered the call. "Stop calling me by my name, Emma! Anyways I called you because a new mutant just appeared in New York, around Queens. Don't forget to give me my payment. I'm here risking my life by betraying the Brotherhood for you, so it's only fair I get compensation." Hinata replied. "So what if a new mutant appeared? " I questioned. "I managed to peek into Mystique's mind and saw that the new mutant is an alpha level almost reaching the omega level. You said you wanted strong members right? This is your chance " Hinata said without skipping a beat.
An alpha level mutant sounds like a good subordinate to have and knowing those two geezers, they'll surely end up fighting over the mutant and this will provide me with the best opportunity to recruit the mutant. "Alright. I'll send your payment to you, now don't forget to inform me when you find the mutant." I said to Hinata. "Ok~ You got it!" Hinata said and cut the call. Will the new mutant be a player or a piece in this game, I wonder.
