" Yo…, Yo…, Yooooo…, Wake up blud ", Distant echoes continually resounded in Lucian's ear as he slowly regained consciousness.
" Gabriel, weren't you supposed to be dead " he said immediately he rose, his eyes blurry and heavy trying to distinguish objects that lay before him, " Yeah, the aroma from your noodles awoke me bro, it saved my life ".
Hear that he sprang to life like a sleeping tiger that got it's tail stepped on, his eyesight getting better by the ticking moments, he pounced to Gabriel taking him to the ground.
" I don't joke with my food " he said sitting on Gabriel's abdomen with is fist raised and clenched ready to throw a devastating blow.
By now Lucian eyesight was cleared with improved changes, Chuckling nervously Gabriel raised a piece of bread gotten from an unknown location to Lucian's lips, he responded by taking a big bite of the bread.
Gabriel's mouth was obviously wet with noodle soup, this was the main reason Lucian took a bite of his bread and as he did he felt pure bliss and enlightenment.
" What is this softy deliciousness " he said subconsciously getting off Gabriel's abdomen, " You've never eaten bread before? " Gabriel asked astonished at his findings.
" Bread is defined as a moldy, dry, crumble of baked flour, not soft and flavourful " he said looking at the sky tears gathering around his eyelids, " Well that's what poor people enough, the rich and the collectors eat this " Gabriel said shoving the remaining piece in his mouth.
Lucian momentarily forgot about the sense of profound power that currently surged though his body but snapped out of his daze by the grumbling of his empty stomach.
He looked around and saw his noodle bowl laying under his shade, he stood a few meters away from it but clearly saw it was almost full.
He walked up to it and had some mouthfuls of the noodles gaining a puppy eye look from Gabriel, " I don't share " he said stingily turning away.
" I have an idea, why don't we trade, I give you half of my bread and cookies, you give me half of your enormous bowl of noodles " he proposed.
Lucian gazed down at his bowl and reminisced about the taste of the surreal bread, " Alright fine " he said accepting defeat, " Yay " Gabriel cheered.
" Let's go the wall to have a good view as we eat " Gabriel proposed again, this clicked Lucian's mind as he was pretty much a prisoner and Gabriel was his one shot breakaway.
" Yeah, why not " he replied and Gabriel ran over to him before grabbing his arm then taking for the skys, he directly landed on the top of the wall before dropping Lucian.
' Did I just defy the law's of physics ' he thought staring at his noodle bowl which surprisingly held noodles and not a drop was wasted.
That wasn't the only shock, lifted his gaze he was meet with the large expanse of a jungle infront of him and to the right, to the left was a track road leading to a local village settlement.
He was stunned beyond words, only his house looked formidable, the rest were made of wooden planks and large stones with a well in the middle of the settlement.
This was purely a medieval styled setting, the wall on which they stood was two feet thick so someone could freely jump on it without the fear of falling of the incredibly high wall.
" What are you dazing about, you've never seen the outside world before? " Gabriel asked, " In this world we are all prisoners to our own will " he said sitting on the wall.
' It's nice to know we anomalys think and act the same, my embodied immortal brother ' Gabriel said under his breath in a serious tone as he sat down.
They chatted as they ate sharing bitter memories of the past, but Gabriel seemed to have had a much easier life despite the fact he was an orphan.
He spoke about his adventure's with pride, speaking about festivals, celebrations, government issues, gang wars, racial wars and other intriguing things that piqued Lucian's curiosity.
Time wasn't on their time with Gabriel preparing to leave and Hikaru's arrival at the corner, " I suggest you escape from this prison fam, come over to the other side and enjoy a little bit of freedom " he said jumping away.
Lucian sighed watching the boy's back dissolve into a distance, ' How the fuck am I supposed to get down from here ' he thought before leaping down the fence with his arms stretched.
* BOOM *
The ground shook upon his landing stunning him a bit, it was now he realized he had exponentially gotten stronger, that didn't stay in his mind long as he eventually stood up and cleared up the environment to avoid suspicion.
After that he changed his dirty clothes and picked up his book while sitting under his shade submerging himself into the urban friction book in an await of his master.
Moments turned into seconds and that to minutes and finally a hour passed before the loud sound of the gate being opened was heard.
" I hate that annoying sound " he said closing up the book and getting into a meditative stance.
Cold wind brushed pass his pale skin, " Boy ", a voice called, a voice he despised, a voice that haunted him, the voice he never wished hear, ' His Father '.
" It being a while…, Son "
" Na, not at all, Six years is nothing compared to all the pain and suffering you put me through ".
" Ahhh, cut the crap, I knew from the very beginning that you could handle it " Augustine said walking closer to the boy, his multi coloured grey and black hair swaying with the wind.
A stem of pressurized air escaped Lucian's lips as he let out a soft hiss, " How are we related? ", a heavy question.
Augustine felt his knees buckle under his weight nevertheless he held strong, " I am your father… ", " Lie ".
Lucian voice cut through sharply interrupting his father, his pre adolescent but sterile voice carrying a ting of disdain and annoyance.
Still backing Augustine he had no intention of facing the bane of his troubles, Augustine never expected this question this early, he breath heavily.
" You wouldn't understand now, that's why I am here to take you away…, to a better life, away from all the pain " He tried to reason but Lucian was far made up.
" What a blant lie, this this truly the level you undermine me to…, sometimes I can't just help but wonder why you are such a stupid Liar ".
