A short metallic silver pole hooked to another pole of similar properties shimmered slightly in the sun casting an unnoticeable beam of light at Lucian and for a moment he felt energized.
He noticed that the timorous and doubtful look on Gav's face had turn into that of a noble knight ready to die for his cause, then a thought ran through his mind, ' Just what did this say about me not having any mana '.
" How can you tell that I don't have mana " Lucian asked dropping his stance, * Buh *, the young man sighed his expression drooping slightly and raised a finger at Lucian's face.
" What do you see " he asked, ' What, do I see, I don't see anything you moron ' Lucian said to himself, " Well there is obviously nothing no your finger " he replied tempted to facepalm himself.
" You have to understand now child, you lack mana and don't worry I would make it quick and painless as long as you don't resist " He explained coldly and dashed towards the boy.
Not being able to believe what he was hearing he pointed his own finger at Gav and said, " If I don't have mana they why can I do this " he said, * Pew *, A beam of light shit through Gav's left shoulder bringing him down.
Now Lucian case was ambiguous, Gav needed more explanation on this kind of scenario, he had to report back but his shoulder hurt like hell.
Collapsing he held his shoulder in pain, " this isn't magic, I can't fell an atom of mana or Ki in it, this child is truly a monster ' Gav thought, the injury on his shoulder although initially small was slowly burning through the flesh, muscle and bone of the officer.
" W…W…what ar…e you " he stuttered, " Has no mana and is immune to magic where did you come from " he continued tears welling in his eyes, this was supernatural even though they lived in a supernatural world.
Never in his years of life since birth to this very day had he experienced sure, he was so mean to capture the thief and didn't have the decency to check for abnormalities.
Lucian walked closer to Gav, his mind disarrayed, just what was this guy talking about, his brain began aching as a thought of realization struck him, ' Am I truly different, but I am not an elf or giant, I look human, then why ' he lamented to himself.
Unknown to him he was gotten uncontrollably close to Gav who was just starting at his always angry demeanor but something was different, his eyes.
His usual almond predictor eyes had evolved into a pair almond dead eyes, those eyes weren't even looking at Gav, they looked straight ahead until.
* WHOOSH *
Cold steel struck Lucian on his hip, after that were flying shards of metal pieces and a line of force that obliterated everything in it's path, yet he didn't even shift.
A darkish purple substance coated his palms, he grabbed the brute man with his left hand without turning and turned himself to deliver an earthquaking punch which sent the man high and over the fence.
All this happening in a split second convinced Gav he was dead, Not even Ki worked on him, " Leave " Lucian spoke staring straight ahead not bothering to spare Gav a last glance.
Grinding his teeth in pain he stood and pointed his hands towards the edge of the wall, * WHOOSH *, a duo line of grappling hooks attached to a rope shot out of the machinery on his wrist before hooking it's self firmly on the wall's edge.
" This ain't over kid, you may be strong but your existence is a threat to our world, so you'd better watch ya back " he said before retracting the ropes by pressing a button on his wrist.
This helped him launch himself of the ground and onto the wall's edge, he tried holding it but nearly fell due to his shoulder, " Retreat soldiers, thy battle is lost " he said before zip lining away.
The rest of the officers regained consciousness, they were dazed by what happened earlier and it took some time to realize themselves which after that they also returned to where they came from.
Meanwhile Lucian just stood at a spot eyes open gazing at nothing, he was completely still and didn't even blink, subconsciously Gabriel erected himself from the shadow domain and dropped to the ground.
Staying still with his rumpled small sack bag he seemed dead as he wasn't even breathing, nevertheless Lucian paid no heed to such details as he was even unaware of Gabriel exiting his domain.
He just maintenaned his unmoving stance staring at a meaningless point with nothing exactly in mind, the realization struck him hard and another thing that would soon strike him commenced.
Like as if struck with a hammer his mind quaked, immense pain jotted through his body and again it came snapping Lucian out of his daze.
He dropped to his knees right beside Gabriel a loud scream escaping his lips, the continues banging of the sledgehammer on his head intensifyed in speed and power, normally his head would have exploded on the first impact but it didn't.
Instead it just gave him the mental pain with no physical damages, as all this happened a myriad of images flashed through his mind even with his eyes closed he still saw them.
They were to fast for him to understand although he somehow felt connected to every single one of those memories, his body began convulsing with black impurities escaping his body through his skins pores.
He fell to his fours, both the distance memories and the quaking mind pain continued, the tar like liquid poured to the ground in tremendous amounts and evaporated immediately it touched the soil.
He was gradually evolving, it continued for some minutes before it started subsiding and the next phenomenon were string's of white, black and darkish purple energies swirling through his body.
They entered though a pore and exited through another just to enter through yet another pore in his skin, it wasn't just one string but countless.
He noticed none of this as his eyes were closed when he opened them the phenomenon stopped and he collapsed to the ground a changed being.
