Lyon wasn't being rational on his approach against me.
He mostly relies on the enhanced physical capabilities granted by being a demi-human.
Just swinging his axe around and hoping to hit me. Which will never happen as I'm slightly faster than him.
And so much open space that I could just throw in some sucker punches while he's still on his swing.
I could if that damn teacher hadn't punched me before.
Now every time I move, the pain I feel on my left side slows me down.
I didn't even feel this much pain from other punches, neither an orc boss or that [The Crossed] woman's punches ever made me lose my breath like Zagressa's punch.
I looked at that teacher, she was crossing her arms and smiling at us.
If I was allowed to use magic, I could use a sandstorm spell.
Lyon simply just groaned, irritated because he kept dissing every single attack he threw at me.
I don't like fighting like this, simply waiting on a stalemate where he can't hit me, and all I can do is dodge.
I have an idea.
I quickly jump away, creating a small but noticeable distance between us.
I need a counterattack, and I need it to he a prepared one.
He just groaned, and maybe it was because of his lion part, but his groan was deep. As of he truly was a predator getting tired of his prey.
What attack will you choose lion prince?
Lyon began his run at me, with his big wind up as I was expecting. But that big wind up was confusing.
From that position he could do a three swings.
A horizontal swing that I can easily duck and counterattack.
A downwards diagonal swing, that's his worst option as he needs to put that weapon over his head before striking down.
And an upwards diagonal swing, that's his best option as the only thing I can do is jump back and try this again.
I could try to dodge with the upwards swing and circle him counter-clockwise and end up behind him.
It seems that no matter what you do, I have an answer.
*Thump*
He's going to attack, what did you end up choosing?
Option three!!
An upwards diagonal swing!
I decided to dodge with the attack. Jumping to his left side.
"He..."
He chuckled?
I didn't take into account the terrain we're fighting in.
Lyon ended up going for the lowest possible swing. The head of his axe crashing down on the ground and sliding upwards into the air, lifting the dirt of the sand of the arena and using my own tricks against me.
The cloud barrier of sand that his attack lifted covered me whole.
And if it wasn't for the thief's passive, I would've been blinded by this attack.
So his little sandstorm knockoff failed tremendously.
With his hands up thanks to his swing, I took my chances and used my weapons to strike directly at his wrists.
The impact of my wooden knife caused his arms to tense up, and his hands to open and leave the axe to leave his grasp.
Then I used a double attack with my daggers.
First, I used the knife on my right arm to attack his armpit.
Then, the knife on my left arm thruster forward to hit his stomach, making him lose his breath.
But I'm not doen yet, I still have one more point I can strike.
His neck.
I began a quick swing with my right arm.
...
"Gah!"
I lost my breath and felt a crushing pain on my right side, as if I was struck by a bowling ball flying at full speed.
The same feeling when Zagressa punched me on my left side...
"Don't forget that you two are fighting me!"
She turned around and gave Lyon a rolling kick that sent him flying backwards.
"Huh!? Is that all you two can do?" The tiger teacher said in an angry tone of voice as she approached me.
Why me? She already stepped on my head!
"Gah!" All the air I managed to regain in that short amount of time disappeared the moment she stomped on my stomach.
"I expected more from the little star kid that everyone talks so much about"
She stomped on my stomach once again.
"But you still give me nothing more than dissapointing fights!"
She grabbed my arm and lifted me, thanks to her height, my feet couldn't touch the ground.
"Give me a single reason as to why I shouldn't just fail you right in this very instant" her voice was obviously loud and angry.
I could barely even talk. The only movement I could do is squirm and place my hand on my stomach as I feel the intense pain on it.
I hate this woman.
I could feel every muscle on my leg shake, telling me to just kick her sides with the lower part of my leg.
But I know that, no matter what I did, every attack'll just be a waste of my time.
*Plaf*
I knew it'd fail... but I did it anyways.
She simply just grabbed my leg before it could even gain enough strength to hurt her.
"I don't know what pisses me off more" she started stretching me from both my arm and leg.
"You being a dissapointment, or this weak attempt at trying to stand up for yourself"
Her grip on both my limbs, the strength at which she pulls on opposite sides as if she was one of those torturing devices.
"Gggaahhhh!"
...
Suddenly, she stopped gripping me. More than that, she actually dropped me.
But I didn't fall to the cold and hard ground. No, I fell into the arms of someone.
And seeing that some ice magic spell was the one that made Zagressa drop me off and jump back, I knew that the one that grabbed me was...
"Are you okay Mr. Alen?" Cecil... the one holding me princess style is Cecil.
"Y-yea..."
Actually, Fran was in front of us, in between the tiger teacher and and us.
"Hhhngh..." The princess angrily groaned "How dare you hurt my friend like that!?"
Fran was absolutely furious, her cold and low voice tone contrasted with her angered face would make anyone tremble.
"You little shirts!" But Zagressa Beritan is not just some random person.
No, she's the most ruthless teacher in the whole school when it comes to making the students feel physical pain.
"I-I can stand up by myself Cecil"
"Oh, right! Sorry Mr. Alen"
Cecil gently dropped me off and I quickly double tapped his shoulder as a thank you gesture.
"What do you three think you're doing"
Zagressa stood in front of Fran, towering over Fran with her height and muscles.
But Fran didn't flinch a single time, she kept looking up at the teacher with angry and cold eyes.
"I'm helping my friend you old hag"
"Hag!?!" Everyone else that just simply spactated from the sides exclaimed with fear in their voice.
I could see Zagressa's face muscles tick off at Fran's insult.
This doesn't look right...
*Thud*
*Fwoosh*
A strong wind current formed as Zagressa's fist landed on nothing.
Thankfully, I managed to tackle Fran to the ground and avoided the tiger teacher punching her with enough strength to kill a human.
Once the wind caused by her punch stopped, Cecil stood in between us and Zagressa with his wooden sword in hand.
"Fran!" I was above Fran, hugging her with as much strength as I had left in me.
The strength of that punch, it could've blown out Fran's head if it connected.
And Fran clearly noticed that, as she was trembling under me.
"I've gotta hand it to ya! Not many could react that fast" she masked her angered with an attempt at giving me an empty praise.
"I wouldn't continue with this if I were you ms teacher"
Alen was prepared for any possibility, his grip on te wooden sword was firm and strong.
"Don't you get cocky brat! I can break that little toothpick with a single flick of my finger"
I sat up a bit, inspecting Fran to see if she was okay.
And she was, more than terrified because her life was nearly over, she was blushing and glancing between me and my hand that's on her shoulder.
That face... a red face with a shy and embarrassed expression I've never seen before on her. Her mouth is shaking and her breathing is fast paced.
"A... Ahem..." she cleared her throat and quickly jumped out of me to stand up.
The white-haired princess shook the dust off her clothes and quickly turned around.
"Th-thanks Alen..." she said In a whispered tone.
"That was enough fun you four" the blonde director made her entrance with a single clap that was heard by everyone present.
"One of your students told me that you were being a bit too... harsh... on one particular young man" she stood next to Zagressa, her tone calm and soft despite the tiger demi-human being so much taller than her.
