Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: A Hitman In A New World

After the little scuffle he had with the people inside the castle, our hitman in another world, left the confines of the castle to explore the kingdom of Ygdris. The hitman traverses through the streets, trying to find a certain shop.

'The coins I stole from those guards should be sufficient enough to buy a new pair of clothes. Besides, It'll be useful when they issue a search for me.'

The hitman knew that the king and the royals wouldn't take his...defensive outburst earlier with a pat on the back. He needed to blend in the crowd, and he know it. So, the hitman continues to search for a cloting store.

After what seemed like 35 minutes, he finally came across a sign that had the symbol of clothing. The Hitman sighed and entered the store. As the door swung open, a chime of a bell played, indicating his entrance and alerting the store's employee.

"Oh! A customer!" The female employee said, with an excited tone, as if she wasn't used to having customers. "Welcome! What would you like!?" She said with enthusiasm.

"...That." The hitman said in a monotoned voice.

The hitman's finger was pointed at a suit on display. A suit that atleast resembled his clean tux and dress pants combo with a tie. However, the difference was the color, the length of the blazer and the added bonus of a vest.

"Ah! Yes sir! Right away!" The employee hurriedly ran to find them in stock of a lather size than the one on display.

As the employee continues to rummage through their store's inventory at the back, the hitman decided to take a look at his own situation, sitting down on the customer's waiting area, which was just 4 stools, around a coffee table with what seems like scrolls.

'...I'm in a different world, that much is obvious.' The hitman thought. 'Based on what I've heard at the time I've arrived, they had opted to summon me in hopes of...defeating the demon race. Safe to say, a war is ongoing between the two races atleast.'

He takes a look outside the window the store to see many citizens of the kingdom, seeing some of them being warriors, priests and some rare instances, mages that use literal magic.

'Magic too. A fantasy world...This'll be hard if I'm gonna be targeted. Best to lay low for now.' The hitman thought.

He was starting to regret actually attacking the king earlier when he was just summoned, but the thought of going back to his old ways. His old ways of killing, the one thing he worked so hard to escape, the final people he killed, would have all died in vain if he killed again.

However, as he was deep in thought, the store's back door opened with the employee returning with 5 different variants of the suit the hitman pointed at, but also 2 sizes for him to try on. "Here sir! Pick which one you like!"

The employee was estatic to finally have a customer. The hitman held hi usual poker face but had a small sweat drop down his forehead to his cheek. He nodded and took 1 of each variant of the suit to a nearby dressing room.

"If you like, I can also recommend some of our other suits! I'm sure you'll li-"

"No. This'll do." The hitman said through the curtains.

"I-I see...carry on then, sir."

Meanwhile, on Earth, the association of which he worked in, had received news of the hitman in another world, had disappeared during his mission.

Inside a conference room, 6 individuals were meeting, and discussing of his disappearance, with 1 of them leading the meeting and going through a powerpoint presentation.

The man wore a regular tux business attire, with his only visible different attired being that he had glasses apart from the other people in the meeting.

"It is quite...unethical. It is his last mission, but he was not permitted to leave until he submitted his report." Glasses hitman said with a stern face.

A female hitman in the room joined in. Unlike the rest, she had a casual attire on, wearing a hoodie over her blouse with dark jogging pants and white sneakers. "Give the man a break, Alaric. His done his job, let him rest." The girl said to glasses hitman, leaning on her chair.

"Do not...call me by my name, Miss Kei. Your words are more biased that need be. You and...our missing member are quite close. It's not a surprise you'd think so." Alaric pointed out, prompting a response from another male member.

"Even if we were to look for him. How do you think we would start? He did just disappear our of nowhere with no trace, without the association's knowledge at that." The man said, with his face having a scar across his left eye.

"Good question, Mr. Shuichirou. It is quite peculiar. Even among us, the top 10, he is still among the stronger ones of our group. And to think he would just disappear just after his last mission..."

"So...you want us to find him? Or...not?" A tired male hitman said, wearing a school uniform paired with headphones, dangling by his neck.

"Ah yes. For our mission, it does not concern our...old comrade. His search will have to be postponed. As of now, our main priority should be to find the one responsible on who made him disappear." Alaric adjusted his glassee. "If they are capable of making one of our members disappear in an instant, then they are huge threat to the GHA." Alaric finished.

"Carry out this mission properly, comrades. This could be a biggest threat that we have ever faced."

Meanwhile, back to the kingdom of Ygdris. The hitman can be seen inside the clothing store, still waiting on the guards to leave.

'Idiots. Going on a search and not even bothering on searching buildings.' He said in his mind as he looked out the window.

After a few minutes, the soldiers left and he sighed. The clerk noticed his vigilance and was a bit more cautious about the hitman, but still held her energetic deamenor.

"So sir...is there anything else you need? We have accessories too if you like." She offered, but was met with a soft palm of a hand, indicating to stop.

"That won't be necessary. This suit should be enough." He answered. 'I highly doubt they'd be able to recognize me.' He thought, going to the lady.

He gives her a gold coin for payment, making her shocked beyond belief. "S-SIR! T-the suit is only for...3-30 silver! This is-" "Keep the change. Thank you for your services." The hitman cuts her off.

"U-UMM...m-may I atleast know of your name?" The clerk asked him, making him wonder if he should say it.

"...My name doesn't concern you." He said, going to leave.

"NO WAIT! I want to know my first ever customers name! Please!" She pleaded.

He realized that this store was on the brink of going out of business. He sighed and placed an index finger on her lips, shushing her. "My name doesn't leave this store. Only you know, okay?"

She nodded. "Be sure to keep that promise...My name is..."
