Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: A Hitman Becomes An Adventurer In Another World

After the events that occured in the kingdom's castle, the guards were on high alert to find the hitman who had been transported to this new world.

As of now, the security of said kingdom had increased by tenfold with about 10 soldiers seen on each exit and entrance gates, patrolling to see if the hitman was to exit or enter back into the kingdom.

While this was happening, the emergence of a...rather peculiar adventurer had taken the attention of the entire town. A C-rank adventurer who only takes escort missions and retrieval missions, 2 of the most unexciting and trivial quests for an adventurer to take.

The same adventurer mentioned enters the adventurers guild, wearing a suit with a vest and dress pants, but was covered with a hooded cloth that shaded his entire body and head.

"Hey...that's him. The famed Mr. H!"

"Is that really him?"

"He looks stronger than I thought he'd be."

"I know right?"

The adventurers inside the guild all voiced their thoughts on the famed, Mr. H.

"Oh! Mr. H! Welcome back!" The guild's female receptionist welcomed him.

"Mhm. Here, official completion form from the one who issued the quest." Mr. H gave him.

"I see. Thank you for completing the escort quest, Mr. H!" The receptionist said with a smile. "Say, Mr. H. Why don't you try out your first extermination mission. There's a request for a-"

"No." Mr. H said with outmost speeds in an instant.

"O-of course...the-there are some more escort missions available on the bulletin board, as well as retrieval missions as well, if you'd like to go on another one." The receptionist offered.

"Will do." He left the front desk to check the Bulletin Board.

Everyone was curious on why this Mr. H, only took retrieval and escort missions, which are seen as trivial matters compared to dungeon raid requests, monster exterminations and supply collecting. However, even then, most adventurers had come to respect Mr. H's work ethic.

But even then...the word 'most' is not 'all'.

"Look. The coward shows up once again. How's those missions? Boring, I hope." The A ranked adventurer, Corrin, insulted Mr. H. "So, how about it, Mr. H? Too coward to try an extermination request?"

Corrin. One of the top 5 powerful A ranks one of the candidates to join the S rank adventurers, which only have about 9 members. On top of that, each S rank holds authority that can even rival a king of a country.

"Sir Corrin! Do not start anothee squabble, please! The guild is a place for all types of adventurers to gather. Mr. H is-" "A coward who runs away from his job." He stopped the receptionist mid sentence.

"It's none of your business." Mr. H responded.

He turned back to the Bulletin Board to observe the remaining retrieval and escort missions left. However, Corrin approached and slammed his fist on the board, making the papers drop, as well as the request forns.

"Come on...I know your strong, Mr. H. I can feel it, your more than qualified to be A rank! So why are you holding back!?" He shouted with venom.

Corrin wasn't mad at Mr. H because he saw him as a coward who avoids fights, nor does he think he is weak. But, the knowledge of Mr. H, being a powerful fighter, but only using the bare minimum and avoiding risky missions, makes him mad.

"...It's my own business." Mr. H said, taking one request form to be an escort for a delivery cart being shipped to the Kingdom of Albon.

"Extermination removes the dangers of the world. Monsters, will be exterminated! Why won't you use your strength for that, dammit!" Corrin finally snapped and held Mr. H by the collar.

Seeing this, every adventurer stood up, all on guard for a possible bout between Mr. h and Corrin. However, Corrin knew than to make more trouble for the workers in the guild and let's go of Mr. H's collar. Leaving in a huff.

"...Your strong. But you use it so poorly." Corrin said as he left with venom in his step.

"M-Mr. H...I'm sorry about Cor-" "It's fine. I know he means well." Mr. H said with a surprisingly gentle tone.

"I'll be on my way on a mission. Please, confirm the mission acceptance." Mr. H picks up one of the posters for a escort mission that was dropped.

"Y-yes! Of course, Mr. H." The receptionist took the poster and went behind the desk to stamp it's approval. "Here you go, Mr. H."

He grabbed the poster and left the adventurers guild to proceed to the meet up spot written on the poster, which was the exit gate that led to the Clear Meadows on the path that takes you to Forever Fall City.

"...This shouldn't be too bad."

[NEXT MORNING]

Mr. S, who had prepared his adventurers outfit, had alreadh arrived at the agreed upon rendevouz spot for the client to meet up with him. He waited for a minutes, leaning against the castle walls as he waits with a horse of his own that he borrowed from the Guild.

Although, as he waits, he firmly held on to the cloak that covered his face as well as most of his body, with the front of his clothing being the only thing that is visible.

After about 45 minutes in, the horsed cart had arrived. Mr. S was to escort this cart, which held the important client to be escorted the Forever Fall City.

"You must be Mr. S. I'm glad you had accepted this request, Mr. S." The horse's driver thanked him with a small bow from the front sit.

"No need. This is merely business after all."

"Yes, of course, Mr. S."

And so, Mr. S hopped on his horse, following the cart from the right behind of the cart, able to see the full right side of the cart, and still have view of the left side, with the only one he couldn't see properly was the left side at the front, but even then, he surveyed the entire area around them.

However, as they reached about 13 KM away from the starting point, they reach a clear field, a meadow as the only thing present was grass, the dirt road...and a horde of goblins coming towards them.

"Mr. S! A horde, at the right side!" The horse handler said with panic.

This was it, another job like this. Mr. S goes to block the horde at the right. This time, it was the first escort or retrieval mission he took that had actual threats to them. This was his chance, a chance to prove to himself...than his more than just a killer.
