Ben got up from his bed, and went to silently close his door, so he could open his computer and do some research
No matter what he searched related to the nightmares, each source said he probably was stressed AND sleepwalked, but as far as he knew, that wasn't true for him
He decided to just use his computer to watch videos related to internet mysteries until it was eventually 7am, and he got ready for school
As he walked, he was reached by Kate immediately
"Hello Ben! It's good to know you live near here too!"
he got a little scared, but calmed down seeing her
"You live in this street too?"
"Yeah I do! It's very quiet except a cat always tries to get in my house"
"Yeah same here.. We just let it in one day and he stayed in, it was a stray so we just took him to the vet a few times and decided to keep it"
"Oh that's so cute! What is he like?"
"He's calm, doesn't destroy stuff, and always sleeps in my room"
"I can tell why it would want to stay with you, what's it called?"
"We named it blue because of his eyes, my mom named it actually"
"Oh that's cute!! I used to have a cat, her name was Marie, but then I had to move out cause you know, my dad cheated on my mom and me and her came here, the cat stayed with him"
".. I'm so sorry that happened, if you need to talk I'm here for you", Ben looked at her softly, looking slightly concerned
".. Thank you, but I'm alright now!"
She gave him a smile, and they kept chatting while walking to school
School went by, and they decided to go hang out at the park nearby
"So! I've heard from a friend of mine that you used to have a girlfriend until last year" Kate said out of nowhere, "do you mind telling me something about her?"
"Oh well.. Yeah we had been together for a year, her name was Caroline"

Caroline was a very kind girl, at least that's what everyone thought.
Everyone loved being around her, and she seemed to love it too
When we started dating, she always seemed so excited about being around me, that was until we hit 3 months.
Caroline started acting all possessive over me, it was crazy.. And it wasn't healthy at all
She always tried making my mental health worse for some reason too! Just because I was going out with my friends!
Eventually, one day I started going to therapy
and I was recommended to leave her
It wasn't easy.
I was attached.
But I had to, she didn't take it well and started spreading rumors

It made Ben's mind drift away
Did she hate him?
Was she THAT careless?
Or was he overthinking it all?
Time passed, they went home, Ben immediately went to lie down, and closed his eyes..
