When did the earth become so dangerous?! Before they could finish their thoughts, the wave of air accompanying the battle dissipated, leaving a thick tension in the air.
In the second place where the type of magic was bombarded, Lance was nowhere to be seen. Only a black sphere, seemingly made of dark mud, appeared, as if it originated from a dangerous swamp.
In the next moment, the black sphere leaped with incredible speed, then spread in all directions, revealing Lance's figure inside it, still standing upright.
Nancy and Sidney, who were watching anxiously, immediately breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed that the mysterious Sorcerer was fine, despite the devastating attack that had just occurred.
However, Mordo's face no longer looked calm. Mordo stared at Lance with a look of disbelief, his lips trembling with anger and confusion. "Lance, have you also absorbed the power of darkness?!" Mordo shouted in a deep voice that resonated.
"Of course not." Lance raised his hand with a calm smile on his face. The black "mud," which had previously seemed so terrifying, began to drip slowly from Lance's fingertips, spreading like waves radiating in all directions. "This is not the power of darkness. But the power from the Black Thunder Talisman. A Taoist method from the Ming Dynasty. This black substance... is merely liquefied thunder."
The black thunder surged with strong energy, quickly spreading across the exposed ground. In just a few seconds, the substance covered a radius of one hundred meters, transforming the entire area into a true thunder prison, shimmering with dangerous electrical power.
Lance lifted his face, his sharp eyes staring at the two sorcerers in front of him. "You both, go ahead and try my secret abilities!" Lance said in a challenging tone, as if he was ready to face anything that came his way.

The Five-Elements Lightning-Dharma, often referred to as the Five Thunders, actually pertains to the profound concept of the Five Qi (fundamental energies).
These Five Qi are closely related to the five internal elements within the human body: fire, metal, water, wood, and earth. Each of these elements is associated with a major organ in the body, and each regulates specific aspects of energy that are vital for life.
Fire: The pure energy of the fire element is known as Heart Qi. This Qi is the dominant form of pure Yang energy (active energy) that flows strongly within the body, regulating the heart's functions, which is the center of life. This energy spreads vitality and passion, igniting a fervent spirit.
Metal: The energy of the metal element is known as Lung Qi. This is Shao Yin within Yang (small Yin energy hidden within Yang), which plays an important role in regulating lung function and the respiratory system. This Qi also connects the body with the outside world, filtering the incoming air and regulating the circulation of energy within the body.
Water: The energy of the water element is called Kidney Qi. Originating from pure Yin (passive energy), this Qi regulates kidney function, which plays a significant role in the balance of fluids and energy in the body. This energy is very deep and full of tranquility, serving as an energy reserve to maintain the body's balance in extreme conditions.
Wood: The energy of the wood element is known as Liver Qi. Recognized as Shao Yang within Yin (small Yang energy present in Yin), this Qi regulates liver function, which is involved in managing the flow of energy in the body and emotions. Wood governs growth and renewal, both physically and mentally, encouraging change and development.
Earth: The energy of the earth element is called Spleen Qi. This Qi represents the perfect harmony between Yin and Yang, working to regulate spleen function and the digestive system, which plays a role in transforming food into energy that the body can use. Earth is the foundation that supports the continuity of life, maintaining stability and harmony within the body.
When these five Qi are gathered and balanced properly within the body, the energy merges into an extraordinary single force.
The process or method to achieve this unity is known as the "Method of the Five Thunders," a technique that demands mastery and harmony within each existing element.
These Internal Five Thunders are distinguished based on the five fundamental elements (fire, metal, water, wood, and earth). Each of these elements is further divided into yin and yang, creating a deeper and more complex division.
Thus, the Thunder Method naturally follows the division of yin and yang, which influences how each element operates within the human body.
Initial Condition (Complete Shen Qi and Yang Qi): A person whose body is still intact, not experiencing energy damage or external disturbances, possesses complete and balanced Shen Qi (spiritual energy) and Yang Qi (active energy).
In this state, Heart Fire Qi and Metal Lung Qi are the first to be released. Both function to awaken a strong flow of energy within the body, activating the vital systems that support life and preparing the body to reach the peak of strength in the Five-Elements Lightning-Dharma technique.
By utilizing the innate breath, the Heart Center, closely related to Fire Thunder, becomes the main controller for Wood Thunder and Earth Thunder. This method is known as the "Heavenly Five Thunders," reflecting the bright, agile, and dignified nature of thunder.
This thunder possesses extraordinary, open, and dominant power—referred to as the Five Yang Thunders. Like a flash of lightning radiating in the sky, this energy has an unmatched intensity, affecting the entire body with pure and active strength.
Damaged Body Condition: If a person's body has suffered damage—whether due to physical injury, energy disturbances, or bodily weakness—the Yang energy from the heart and lungs becomes difficult to develop normally.
In this state, the wise Taoists wisely adapt, prioritizing Heart Qi (wood element) and Kidney Qi (water element), which causes Yin energy to become dominant in the body.
This method uses Water Thunder as the main control to regulate Metal Thunder and Earth Thunder. This technique is known as "Dark Water Thunder" or "Dirty Water Thunder," reflecting the thick, murky, and ever-changing nature of thunder.
Note: If you are confused by all the explanations in this chapter, then I apologize, I don't know why there suddenly are such complicated explanations like this. However, what I do know is that this may be related to one of Lance's abilities, which comes from the world of "Hitori no Shita: The Outcast." Even though I have tried my best, the final result of the explanations of the Five-Elements Lightning-Dharma and other abilities can only reach this level.
For some reason, the author of this novel suddenly wrote something that made me very dizzy, but in the end, I managed to translate this chapter and the others.
