Meanwhile in his apartment. Jack was looking at his phone. And he heard a ding from his banking app.
'I guess he was really serious about payment…'
He opened the banking app and looked at his balance.
"50 Thousand?! That's absurd…"
Jack had received 50 thousand dollars from Desmond, the man was a guild leader, actor, and celebrity in general, only god knows how much money that man has.
"Well, this should be more than enough."
The master blacksmith, Raphael, had awakened a few years ago according to his memory.
'He's able to make S class weapons in about a day. Which is absurd compared to other blacksmiths. It takes them months. Raphael is called an SS rank hunter by the public. But that's not really even a rank. Just a stronger S-Rank Hunter. Although they're at the pinnacle of strength, they still vary. For example, Desmond is stronger than Luna. Luna is stronger than Dimitri Morgan.'
It was impossible to find such a man without any connections. Although, Jack had some useful information from his past life. In his past life, Raphael was still a blacksmith, just one of those influencers. He lived in a small shack pretty far out from Utopia. In a rural area. He could probably bet on the fact he still does. If he didn't, Jack was probably never going to get his sword fixed with the shard. A material of that grade could probably only be melded by him.
"Alright…well…thankfully Desmond gave me enough for my rent."
Jack wrote a check, put in an envelope. And slapped it onto the landlords door with some tape. And then left. He then remembered some very, very crucial information.
"Right. I do not own a car." He sighed. "Oh well…I guess I'm gonna have to run…probably about 15 miles. Not that much. But still. Thankfully I live closer to the outskirts."
Jack sighed and started his run. It would take him about 2 hours. As he ran. He started to think. About everything. Everything that happens to him…
'It's just so bizarre…a giant dragon in my dreams, that angel following me through time and space, it's all…odd. Like broken pieces in a puzzle. God, I feel so incompetent, I lost all my strength, I don't even stand a chance against the weakest S-Rank hunters. That has to change. I have to make that change.'
He didn't notice it. But as he lost himself in thought, he started running faster. Until he was blazing past people. And before he knew it, he got there in only an hour. The shack was decrepit on the outside, but in the back. He found him. A short, dark skinned black haired man. Muscular in his arms. And nowhere else. Working a blade in with his hammer while wearing a welding helmet.
"…you're Raphael correct?"
Raphael dunked his blade in water and removed his helmet. Turning his attention towards Jack.
"Thats correct, son. And who the hell are you?
