Long, blonde hair is not my fave. I look really strange in this hairstyle, but tonight, I am forced to wear a wig and clothes that are not my style. Black combat boots and a short white sleeveless top make me an entirely different person.
Red-haired Mike, who is also dressed in black combat boots and a T-shirt, looks like my boyfriend. Literally. It's a pretty funny situation.
The club is bustling with activity. We take seats on the second floor, where there are balconies and a view of the dance floor. My attention, however, is caught by a group of people sitting at a VIP table.
Lucas — the crooked, good-looking bastard who has been tormenting us — is having a great time, having drink after drink. Sitting next to him, Felix — for me still the most handsome guy under the sun — currently looks depressed. He stares at one point, ignoring the rest of the company.
Two weeks have passed since that night. Unfortunately, Mike and I didn't have a plan, and today, I unexpectedly got a text message from Sebastian, who revealed that the cousins were going to a club.
If they don't leave Felix's side, it will be difficult for me to kidnap him.
Yes, I know — kidnapping sounds absurd.
Lucas looks in our direction, so I grab Mike by the collar of his blouse and look into his eyes. My friend looks perplexed.
- Recall the years of your youth and look at me with love in your eyes," I declare, but my serious face begins to amuse him.
- Eve would kill you if she heard that.
- We can't just sit here all the time, because we'll give him a hard time. He glances in our direction anyway.
- Are you surprised? We look like clowns. It's obvious that we're going to attract attention.
- Felix would say you look like a clown even without a disguise," I answer him, making him wrinkle his eyebrows in anger.
- I look at him and see that he's not himself, so he wouldn't say that now.
I hit Mike on the shoulder, and he screams in pain. With our behavior, we again catch Lucas' attention.
The man probably thinks we are some kind of chumps.
- I swear you'll be home in a minute. I'll be fine on my own, because you're making me cringe, Mike.
- I've been a scorcher since birth, so what did you expect from me?
This time I hit his knee, and he screams again in pain. I see Lucas rise from his seat, and I jump on top of Mike and sit on top of him with my arms around him to hide our faces.
- I feel really uncomfortable," claims my friend.
- And you think I feel good? - I hiss through clenched teeth. - Has he gone?
- Yes, he went down.
I clumsily fall off Mike's feet and as I straighten up, I throw my hair back. I feel people looking at me, and my confused friend, shades his face with his hand.
It's now or never.
I approach the VIP table, and Sebastian's eyes widen in shock as he recognizes me after a while.
- I would like to dance with this handsome man, will you gentlemen let me? - I respond, pointing my finger at Felix. My ex-boyfriend only now shifts his gaze to me, raising his eyebrows in disbelief as he realizes who I am.
- Didn't you sit on that man's lap a while ago? - asks the bald man, looking menacing. I shift my gaze to Mike and burst out laughing artificially.
- I am a lover," I reply, shyly combing my hair behind my ear. - I enjoy playing with handsome guys. That type is very naughty. He pushed me off my knees. I want to try with someone else.
Sebastian rolls his eyes and takes a sip of his drink, looking as if he is ashamed of me.
- I'll dance with her. I can't drink anyway, so I'm bored with you guys," Felix speaks up. He rises from the couch, and Sebastian nods to the rest of them to go and enjoy themselves.
I grab his hand and lead him towards the stairs. I see that my ex-boyfriend is looking at Mike with surprised eyes.
- A traitor! Seductress! - shouts a friend, pointing a finger at us. - Bitch!
His seems to be bearing too much in playing this role.
- Was it Mike? - Felix asks me as we walk downstairs. I pray that we don't run into Lucas now. - What are you planning?
- Kidnap you. Now or never.
He looks at me with confused eyes as we find ourselves on the dance floor.
- Selena, do you know what you are exposing yourself to? He will kill you if you deceive him. He hates disobedience.
- You have to get away from him, because he will destroy you. I want to fix your life, Felix. You have to finally start being happy.
I see Lucas watching the dance floor from the balcony, so I'm sure he'll want to check out the girl who took Felix with her. I hook up with a blonde girl who is dancing near us.
- I have a giant request for you. Can you dance with my guy for a while and pretend to be interested in him? My ex-boyfriend is here, and he can't see us together," I explain.
The stranger looks delighted as she looks at Felix.
- Wow. I would love to do that.
I walk away a piece further and see that the blonde is having a great time with him, however, Felix's face betrays that he is disgusted by her presence.
My guess comes true when Lucas walks up to them and forcibly turns the girl to face him.
- Let me dance with her. I want to have some fun," Felix speaks up as his cousin pierces him with his eyes.
- I'll be watching you, so don't try anything. In ten minutes, I'll see you back," he orders him.
- Don't exaggerate, I'm not your prisoner.
Lucas goes back upstairs, and I pull Felix away from the stranger and drag him to the other end of the dance floor. We are approached by Mike, who, with a smile on his lips, puts his hand on his old friend's shoulder.
- Good to see you again, man," he declares. - Luck favors us, because I met a waitress who turned out to be a familiar face. This is Hannah, your classmate - he turns to me. - She will help us gain time.
- What do you have in mind?
- She's a tough grandmother, isn't she? She can handle Lucas," he replies, smiling broadly. - Now let's get out of here.
My heart is beating like crazy with fear as we quickly head toward the club's exit. I don't like the fact that Mike implicated my former classmate in the affair with Lucas. I don't want her to get in trouble with him either....
- Hey, Felix, where are you going with this? - I hear a man shout from behind. My eyes widen in fear as I spot the bald man.
- On your feet! - I shout, and then we run across the parking lot. - Felix, get on the bike with Mike!
My friend was not supposed to participate, but we had to tell her the truth. She races, I'm not such a good driver, so I feel safer when I get on the motorcycle as her passenger.
Mike takes off with a squeal of tires, and we follow him. This night will decide whether we will be safe.
However, I am afraid that something bad will happen.... It all went too smoothly....

From Lucas' perspective
I get a frenzy when it gets dark on the dance floor and the lights start flashing. I can't watch Felix, I can't see if he's still dancing with that girl.
All this is suspicious to me, especially when I notice that the strangely behaving couple is no longer around.
My little brother likes to entertain in the company of women, in New York he proved it more than once, but inside I feel some strange feeling of unease.
If, after that conversation, he deceived me and decided to run away from me.... I will turn his and Selena's lives into hell.
I want to go back downstairs and find Felix, but just at that moment someone bumps into me. With anger in my eyes, I look at the waitress, who rises from the ground along with an empty tray.
- I apologize to you most sincerely... - she speaks up as she faces me. It seems to me that time slows down, and I find myself in some kind of strange amok as I get the impression that I know her from somewhere....
Yes, that's her. The girl I saw on the bus some time ago. For me, there are no special women, I treat all of them as girls to play with, but I still remember the strange feeling that swept over my body that day.
She was sitting in the bus by the window, I was riding my motorcycle through the traffic circle in the other lane. We both looked at each other at the same time, and the intensity was so mind-blowing that I felt chills.
It's really strange, especially since now I ran into her at the club.
- Watch where you're going," I say rudely, piercing her with my eyes. I try to throw off the strange emotions that accompany me when I look at her.
Heck, it's something like an electric shock.
- It's just as well you don't have to move so narcissistically. It's also your fault that I fell over," she declares with a combative attitude.
- Never mind, I don't have time to discuss it with you," I claim, wanting to elude her, but she grabs my hand and stops me with her. I look at her with shocked eyes, unable to believe that anyone has the courage to drag me around like a puppet.
- Listen, prince... just because I'm a waitress in a club doesn't give you the opportunity to treat me like trash. Be a gentleman and apologize to me," he orders me, and I parry with laughter, unable to believe that this ninny has such a temper.
- I'm not a gentleman, so I won't apologize to you," I answer her, pulling my hand from her grasp. I pass her and head for the stairs, but she is not going to let me go and follows me, attached like Velcro to a dog's tail. - Girl, give me a break. You fell down, but you're alive. Take care of your work, I have more important things to do.
- For a penny of personal culture.... What a bully," she snorts under her breath.
She is starting to drive me crazy. I like bold and temperamental babes, but this one is clearly overdoing it, or I just don't feel like playing with her because of the situation with Felix.
- Boss, he ran away! He left with somebody on a motorcycle! - shouts the bald man. Gasping, he runs up the stairs. - I saw him run away from the club with the girl he was dancing with!
- You fat slob, you're not good for anything! - I chastise him, feeling anger rising in me. I pierce my gaze into the waitress behind me. - Did you help them? - I ask the girl and her dumbfounded, pretend face makes me understand that I am right.
- What are you talking about? First you bumped into me, and now you're telling me something?
I tug on her hand, looking at her with frantic eyes.
- The jokes are over. I'm not an idiot. They don't seem to know who they're messing with. - Not intending to let it go, I look at my man. - Check the cameras. At least be up to something. And you... - I turn to her once again. - You're coming with me.
- Are you crazy? Where should I go with you, man? I'm working here!
Not responding to her screams, I grab her and throw her over my shoulder, going down to the dance floor with her. She slaps me on the back, calling me names and claiming I'm a lunatic. Security tries to stop me, but when they realize who I am, they let me through the door with no problem.
The waitress screams for help, but no one responds. She is finished if she helped them...
