Ding.
Ding.
Ding.
The black haired young woman looked up at the bell above the door, slightly taken aback by its sound.
"That bell scared me!" Lala whimpered out, clutching Coco's hair tightly.
Coco couldn't agree more, but she couldn't say anything so all she could do was nod her head as she made her way to the front desk of the inn.
The sound of people chattering in the pub, which was just in the room on her right, was loud and obnoxious. It doesn't help the fact that she needs to speak with the woman behind the desk, having no choice, but to raise her voice so she can be heard.
As she made her way to the front desk, she unconsciously glanced at the pub, where the chattering came from, as a habit and accidentally made eye contact with someone strangely familiar.
Her body grew incredibly stiff when she realized who was the pair of beautiful sky blue eyes she made eye contact with.
"What's the fourth husband doing in the pub of this inn?" Lala, the sweet and kind fairy, exclaimed with a confused look on her adorable face, staring directly at the blue haired man sitting on the chair up in the wooden platform, a guitar on his arms, with his right hand freezing mid-striking the string of the instrument.
Coco looked away from him, continuing on her tracks towards the front desk.
The woman behind the desk raised her head, her attention pulling away from the logbook on her right, and looked at Coco directly.
When she saw Coco, the calm and neutral expression on her face changed into anger and contempt, as if she wasn't pleased to see Coco inside the inn.
"Oh, look who decided to come and reveal herself." The woman said, her voice has a condescending tone in it, her eyes scanning Coco from head to toe, her lips curling into a sneer.
"Hi." Coco smiled brightly at the girl and leaned forward, not minding the woman's obvious malice towards her, "How much for one night?"
"Why bother asking?" The woman raised eyebrow at her and crossed her arms, making her large bossom stand out even more and made Coco's eyes dart down to look at it, the wide opening of the woman's top didn't help because Coco swears that the woman's plump front was jiggling.
"You don't have money to pay your debt, much less a room in this place." The woman frowned, the menacing glare still pointed at Coco.
Her statement had made Coco snap her eyes back at the woman's face, shame and embarrassment creeping into her body when she caught herself staring.
However, before she could let herself fold because of the unique size of the woman's chest, Lala had screamed at the woman.
"Hey!" Lala growled adorably at the woman and went in front of the woman's face, pointing her small finger at her, "You don't know that! Coco killed a tiger today and sold it! She has money so shut up and tell her how much!"
Coco has to keep her smile steady and ignore Lala's flapping wings and flailing form in front of the woman, thankful that Lala's with her because the innocence of the fairy had Coco caught herself lacking.
Coco cleared her throat and shuffled on her feet, "I do have money. I won't ask for the price if I don't have some on me, miss."
"So, you'll rent a room for tonight, but won't pay back the amount of debt you have?" The woman raised an eyebrow at her and uncrossed her arms, making her chest bounce up and down lightly, "The nerve of you, Coco Hughes!"
Coco had to suck an air, keeping her composure as she watch the woman's front bounce in every movement.
In her past life, Coco has always chased girls because she loves women's boobs— and seeing a beautiful woman in front of her with a big one is just tempting her to do—
"Coco! Don't let her be the boss of you!" Lala cried out, making Coco blinked rapidly and snap out of her daze, she look at Lala and saw the fairy crying.
I really need to stop being gay.. Coco thought to herself, grumbling as she fumble to get money out of her pocket. She felt the biggest coins inside of her pocket and pulled one out, putting it on the surface of the wooden desk.
The sight of the gold coin made the woman gasp, her eyes wide in astonishment.
How could Coco Hughes have a gold coin?!
"How many nights does this coin will give me in this inn?" Coco asked, keeping her eyes at the woman's face and not letting her gaze wander around.
"Oh.. I.. Uhmm.. Eh..? What? But— just how— how did—" The woman stammered on her words, unable to form a comprehensive sentence.
Coco smiled to herself, happy to see a beautiful woman such as the woman in front of her become flabbergasted at the sight of the gold coin.
Honestly, the reason why she has gold coins was because Mrs. Tani was one of the people who brought some parts of the tiger.
Halfway through the life, she showed up and announced that she will buy the remaining parts which caused the other villagers to go back home without any meat.
Since Mrs. Tani was already there, Coco asked the village's merchant to change the silver coins to gold coins— if she had any gold coins left in her pouch, and sensing an opportunity, Mrs. Tani didn't hesitate to do what she was asked to do.
Hence the twenty six gold coins and five hundred silver coins. Each kilo of the meat costs five hundred silver coins and she managed to sell at least forty five kilos before Mrs. Tani decided to buy whatever that's left.
Coco snickered under her breath, still feeling proud of how much she made from a single tiger.
"What's so funny?"
