Nihllis was angry with his father, Collis Mosifal.
In that room, Nihllis and Collis sat facing each other. The room was painted with blue and rose colour. Gold colour to design those walls with flower shapes.
Nihllis was coming to Masad after completing his work in the Fardenan stellar system where the planet Aquaris was situated. But when he heard the news of the attack, he became worried—not for his father but for his family's name. Throughout his journey to Masad, he was silent being wrathful.
"You are fortunate that the attack wasn't over you or your name isn't in the list of suspects," Nihllis said. "You know what? You are a black sheep."
"Nihill! Mind your language," Collis shouted. He used all his force, and now he was coughing.
"Do not forget I am your father," he continued. "You are sinning by disrespecting your elders."
"As if you are not sinning," Nihllis made a counterargument. "Mosifal used to be renowned as a house that didn't play dirty politics. All the ministers from Mosifal used to be delighted and innocent. But then you've arrived and destroyed all our ancestors' works like a card palace."
"Shut up!" Collis stood up. "What do you? Your grandfather was an asshole. Drunk and always in the brothel. He was the one for whom our family name was defamed. I, his hardworking son, have worked enough to hold our family to its original position. Mu assiduity has brought us this pride."
"You could do this in an ethical way but instead you chose corruption," Nihllis claimed. "Even you've spoiled Sollis. He is exactly like you."
"Unlike you, Sollis is smart. He knows when and how to do something that can be beneficiary for his own. You should learn from your younger brother."
"I would rather die than choose a path which has nothing but chaos at the end."
"You are just a weak man."
"No! I am not weak. You are the one who is weak here," Nihllis said. "You always want the fall of your rival companies instead of competing with them directly. That's why you signed that agreement."
"Even if I wouldn't sign that, the decision would be made," Collis said.
"But still, you chose to be a part of this decision. You've become one of them. Our ancestors were not one of them. You are the most unmosifal Mosifal ever."
"You are shouting for no reason," Collis scoffed.
"Oh, really? Then let me tell you a story," Nihllis said.
"Story? Stories are for children."
"No," Nihllis said with determination. "They are for those who seek knowledge. I think you need knowledge. So, stop blabbing and listen—
"There was a village beside a forest. On the village border, a shepherd lived. He had a flock of sheep. He lived delightedly because of his flock.
"But there was a pack of wolves in the forest. They were planning to devour that flock.
"How can we attack them? Said the wolf king.
"The shepherd is always with his flock. The king showed his worry.
"We shouldn't attack them. An innocent wolf, Rawan said. But the other wolves neglected him. So he remained silent.
"Then a vicious wolf suggested to attack during business day. The shepherd would go to the town leaving his sheep all alone.
"All wolves rejoiced finding the way to slaughter. But the innocent Rawan was sad. He knew it would be a crime, a sin.
"During the business day, the shepherd went to the town. The savage pack of wolves came to the border. Their eyes were full of blood-thirsty. They slaughtered every sheep cruelly and devoured them unleashing the inside monster.
"Rawan went near to a corpse. He watched the lifeless eyes of it. Rawan, the innocent wolf ate the flesh from that corpse.
"After devouring, the pack returned to the forest leaving the bones and inedible parts of sheep.
"The shepherd returned from the town and found his lost flock. His heart was disheartened. He yelled loudly. Tears fell through his eyes. His eyes seeked vengeance. He took his axe and went to the forest. His goal was to wipe all wolves out.
"He killed every wolf one by one. Then he butchered the wolf king. At last, he went to Rawan. Rawan was afraid pleading for his life.
"I was never willing to kill them. Rawan said.
"But you are one of them. The shepherd said. The shepherd moved his axe and cut Rawan into pieces."
Nihllis Mosifal sighed. "Are you still assuming it is a child story?"
"It was the most disgusting and disturbing fable," Collis said.
Nihllis stared at his father for a while. Hasn't it had any effect on him?
Then he smiled and nodded himself. He gulped and said, "Hey, Dad, you know what? For now, it's a disgusting fable for you. But when the fall will come for House Mosifal, you will call up this story."
"What are you saying? Fall of Mosifal? Are you mad? Who can speak such rubbish things about their own house?" Collis scolded his son.
"I could." Nihllis stood up and got out of the room.
Nihllis was walking until he saw the man who held the most power. He stopped and bowed to Zorvan.
"Where are you going Nihllis?" Zorvan asked.
Zorvan was five years younger than him and yet he treated Nihllis as the same age people.
"To the spaceship base," Nihllis answered.
"Why? You've just arrived Masad and want to go already?"
Nihllis looked at Zorvan with narrow eyes. "I have important work at Emerald. Moreover, I suspect the security system of the Official Residence."
Zorvan laughed. Nihllis felt strange. Should you laugh in this situation?
Zorvan said, "Yes, after today's event, this suspicion is natural. But I can assure you. I've tightened my security. You don't need to worry about anything. Rest here for tonight."
But Nihllis Mosifal was still looking unsure which left Zorvan in a difficult situation. He needed to regain his honour after all.
Now he said determinately, "The President is assuring you, Nihllis Mosifal. You are our guest and the guest will get special security."
Nihllis smiled but still denied Zorvan Ahura. He went to leave. But before leaving, he said, "It was a wonderful tactic."
"What?" Zorvan got confused.
"You… you used the press to dilute the news and claim the attack as a trial attack on the President. Everything to gain the sympathy of common people," Nihllis scoffed. "You've put your people as the Development Minister, as the Health Minister, Entertainment, Sports, Culture, Education and even Law. You are doing nothing but controlling all common people in the universe.
"They are seeing what you want them to see, they believe what you want them to believe. You don't even let them know about the rebellion in Boduin."
Zorvan tolerated his every word, then said, "If people come to know about the rebellion, they will start questioning our power. I do this for all of our benefits. All of us, Ahura, Mosifal, Huijin, Nirkit."
"Yeah, our President is very thoughtful," Nihllis said and finally left.
