Chapter 12 - CHAPTER 12: SETTLING DOWN

Kamaria was very satisfied by how slay the whole thing looked from the audience's perspective. She didn't think that the treehouse would come to reality in such an extravagant manner.

However, seeing how the whole tribe was on their knees in awe and praising the Great God, a smile blossomed on her face.

She just needed to continue doing this in the future, and she would be harvesting points as if they were nothing.

With the house rooted in the ground, she circled it, observing and checking it out.

It looked like a tree. A gigantic tree, to be exact, with a reasonable crown. With a glance, it didn't seem to be a house. Anyone would mistake it for a tree. If the system didn't label it as a house, she would think like that as well.

After circling the tree house, she was in doubt wondering if such a tree would have enough space for her accommodation. Would it be the same size as the cave? What was so special about it?

Anyway, rather than be confused by that when outside, she might as well check the inside and see what more interesting things the system had in store for her.

So, without further ado, she walked towards the treehouse front where the door was and placed her hand on the wooden board, which was the door scanner if she was in the modern world.

She learnt of its use through the information provided by the system.

After placing her hand, she saw a red light which was scanning her hand. Very advanced and it made her wonder why the system was restricting her from going overboard when it was the one starting such dramas.

Anyway, after the scanning was completed, the door slid open, revealing the inside, which was a bit dark. Kamaria stepped inside and the door automatically closed without giving anyone a chance to see what was happening.

The tribesmen who were still on their knees earlier had their mouths wide open witnessing such a strange thing. The patriarch had a complicated expression on his face and his back was drenched with cold sweat.

'What more scary wonders is the priestess going to give us? Let me find the place for the altar as soon as possible!' he was now filled with urgency.

If the things gifted by the Great God were that magical, then didn't that mean that the altar was even better? Thinking about how the altar would benefit the tribe, the patriarch became eager to find a good spot.

While doing so, he urged the women's cooking to be faster. Dusk was approaching and everyone was hungry. They couldn't let the priestess starve.

Meanwhile, inside the treehouse, Kamaria's eyes were like bells. So big and wide as she looked at the interior with her jaws on the ground.

She had underestimated the system previously. She simply thought that the surprise would end at the door, but when she got inside, she couldn't help but scream incredulously upon seeing a familiar setting she thought she would never see again in this new world.

The treehouse wasn't as small as she imagined, but wider. If she could compare it to modern houses, she would call it a studio apartment. The room was very large and could be separated into compartments. There was the kitchen area, with the wooden cabinets and the sink. However, there were no taps, which also meant that water was an issue. However, as long as she upgrades the house, she believes that water won't be a problem. After all, the house already had some electricity of some sort. There was a strange energy ball which acted as the light source. So, she wouldn't be living in the dark.

The energy ball could be controlled through the mind. So, she could turn it on and off at will.

There was the bathroom, but there was no tub or water source as well. She just needed to fetch water and she would be fine.

Returning to the kitchen, there was the fireplace where she could put her stove or oven. The LV 0 house didn't come with a free stove. So, she would have to buy one herself.

Anyway, she had earned quite a lot of points, so buying a stove wouldn't be a big deal.

After checking the treehouse, Kamaria decided to deal with the matter of furniture and the like after dealing with the altar as well as food.

With that thought in mind, she stepped out of the treehouse and found a lot of tribesmen enviously and curiously looking at the treehouse.

She didn't explain the matter to anyone but walked in the direction where the patriarch was pacing up and down, muttering to himself.

Although she didn't know what he was talking about. She had an inkling that it must be the place that he had found. It was still in the tribe but some distance away from the living area, which was just perfect.

As she walked there, the patriarch noticed her and cheerfully called to her, "Priestess, what do you think about here?" his eyes sparkling with amusement, looking at her as if seeking approval.

Kamaria looked at the location and nodded her head in approval.

"It's perfect!" she exclaimed as her gaze darted around and, after a while, she instructed the patriarch to move a distance away.

The tribesmen, seeing her acting like that, stopped what they were doing and watched with interest, in anticipation of the wonders that the priestess would bring them once again.

Moments later, a circular altar emerged from the ground like a crop sprouting from a seed. This time, it was different from how the treehouse appeared, but its appearance still caused a lot of shock for the primitive people who had never seen anything like that before.

It was a pity that the old priest was still unconscious. Who knows how he would have reacted after seeing that?

With the altar now in place, Kamaria didn't waste any time, but placed her hand on top of it and closed her eyes while her lips moved, mumbling a chant that automatically came to her when seeking blessings of protection for her people.

As she prayed, the tribesmen who always take these religious matters seriously knelt once again, and the patriarch did the same.

For those who didn't close their eyes, curious about what they could see, had their mouths wide open as they saw fire descending on the altar, but the altar wasn't burning. The fire looked very strange, emitting blue and green colors, which left them very shocked.

When she opened her eyes, a smile blossomed on her face as she understood that the fire was what was called the altar fire. The blessings would all infuse with the fire. As long as the fire kept burning, it meant that everything was still okay.

With the blessing infused there, the blessing ability jumped from LV 0 to 1 and that brought joy to Kamaria.

With the fire burning, she turned to face the tribesmen who looked more pious, seeing the fire, which was probably another rare and wondrous thing in this place.

Kamaria knew one thing, she couldn't pretend like this didn't matter like she did when she claimed the house. The altar was for everyone, so they deserved to know.

So, she looked at everyone and said generously, her tone sounding very kind. It soothed the listeners.

"At ease, everyone!" After saying that, they all got back on their feet but remained rooted at the spot without moving an inch.

Seeing that everyone available in the tribe except the old priest who was still unconscious, at the moment was looking at her, she knew that it was time to introduce herself officially to the people.
