Chapter 11 - CHAPTER 11: PRIESTESS GUIDE NEWBIE GIFTS 2

The altar couldn't be claimed that easily since she would need to claim it after finding a place to locate it. However, she could at least check its attributes and what it was used for.

The tribal altar was a place for worship and it was a growing religious artefact. It could be upgraded, and that was done through the faith of the worshipers.

Instead of blessing everyone individually, she could just bless the altar and replenish the blessing whenever the blessing powers were depleting. The same goes for the healing power.

While the altar could heal some low-level illnesses, the higher ones would require her to deal with the person personally. The altar was a saving grace and would save her a lot of energy when dealing with people.

When she wasn't in the tribe and someone got ill, that person would also not lose his or her life. Since he or she could just go to the altar.

It was a useful artefact which was currently bound to her for the moment.

The altar also had the moon and star totem, like what the information was labeling it as. It seemed that by choosing those two, she somewhat created the tribe's totem. How efficient of her!

The next gift was a mobile tree house with the ability to grow. This was the most interesting gift of all. The tree house was the home she was going to live in now that she received it.

She couldn't help but wonder why the system gave her a treehouse instead of another kind of house. There wasn't any image of how the treehouse looked like and it left room for imagination, which was driving her crazy. She just wanted to go outside and claim the house and see what the system had given her.

Since she couldn't see the treehouse, she checked the sacred carriage and nearly coughed blood, dumbfounded by what she saw.

What kind of carriage was that?

Kamaria looked at the carriage, no, the wheelchair that she had been rewarded with and was at a loss of words.

What makes a wheelchair sacred?

She suddenly wanted to cry the more she looked at it.

Was the system cursing her and wishing that she was disabled?

Kamaria looked hatefully at the wheelchair but then suddenly recalled that it was a growth artefact as well. When that dawned on her, relief washed over her.

As long as she upgrades the wheelchair, then perhaps one day she will end up with a normal carriage.

She patted her chest as she mumbled, "There is still hope!"

While she was busy checking the gifts, the patriarch outside was busy talking to the priest apprentice, who was the leader of the summoning group, who brought the priestess back to the tribe.

" … Patriarch Hugo, if we want to become powerful and never fear those cannibals, my best advice is to follow the priestess and never contradict her! You should have seen how holy she looked when she took out that magical thing, she called a gun and shot those bastards straight in their heads!" the apprentice excitedly narrated, his body shaking with all the excitement. It made the patriarch envision what truly transpired.

After listening to him Patriarch Hugo nodded to the young man and said, "Eli, you have worked hard!"

Eli, the priest's apprentice, scratched his head with a foolish grin on his face and answered the patriarch, "I am just doing my part, patriarch!"

The two talked for a while before Eli left the patriarch's cave to check on the old priest. Although there was a new priestess, he and the few others were still the old priest apprentices. He needed to check on him.

After he left, Patriarch Hugo was left alone and his thoughts were unknown, but the continuous flickering of his eyes showed that his mind was busy.

Just as he was busy thinking of the unknown, his eldest wife suddenly came into the cave, looking a bit flustered.

"What is it?" he coldly asked her, not liking how he was disturbed in the middle of thinking.

The eldest wife lowered her head and humbly apologized, "I am sorry, my lord. It's just that the priestess is calling for you!" before stating her reasons.

When the patriarch heard that, his gaze softened as he rose to his feet and kindly spoke to his eldest wife, "Um, take me to her!" without apologizing for his cold tone earlier.

The eldest wife didn't seem to mind at all but smiled as she led the way.

When the two emerged from the cave, patriarch Hugo spotted the priestess who was surveying the land close to where her designated cave was. He couldn't help but wonder what she wanted to do.

So, he walked with hurried steps, leaving the eldest wife, who didn't have any use for him anymore.

When he finally reached the priestess, the other turned around with a smile that still shone despite dusk approaching.

"Patriarch, you are here!" her melodious voice rang in his ears and he felt flushed as he looked at the priestess, who was still dressed in strange clothes.

Kamaria looked at the patriarch who came to her, and his animal hides were still striking.

"Did you want something?"

Kamaria nodded as she looked at the empty land next to the cave she was given and said, "I want to use this land and put my house. Is anyone using it?"

When the patriarch heard that, he looked at her confusingly as he didn't understand what she meant with her words.

Wasn't the cave her home? What did she mean by that?

Kamaria, noticing his confusion, explained. "The Great God had granted me a sacred home and I want to summon it. I need the land to put it," her tone was very respectful as she spoke about her deity.

This time, the patriarch understood and his gaze suddenly became pious as he looked at Kamaria.

"You don't have to ask me for permission. You can use any empty land you want!" he waved his hands in the air, his smile mile wide.

When she heard that, she looked at the man approvingly, loving how he was very flexible. With his assurance and promise, she no longer had to worry about where to put the altar. She would just pick the best place, she thinks and set it there.

'Thank you, patriarch," she smilingly said before adding, "If you don't mind, can you find a place suitable to put the altar as well? It's very important!"

The patriarch's body trembled when he heard that. The deities' altars weren't to be trifled with. Knowing how powerful the deity the priestess worshiped and knowing that the tribe would be having an altar, he was very excited. He hurriedly said to her, "I will go around and check around. I will leave you to your business!" and left speedily.

After the patriarch left, Kamaria shook her head helplessly while looking in the direction the patriarch left before getting down to business.

She ignored the tribesmen whose dressing was still disturbing in her eyes and claimed the treehouse.

As she was doing so, a strange phenomenon happened in the tribe, which made everyone freeze on the spot as they looked in the direction where Kamaria was.

"What is that?" that was the question that was on everyone's mind as they saw the air fluctuating, making strange shapes before a gigantic tree appeared in everyone's eyes.

While they were still in shock, the tree descended slowly before taking root on the empty land where the priestess was standing.

Everyone witnessed all that and that left them dumbfounded, and at a loss for words.

"What did we see?" someone asked lowly, his voice shaking. However, he didn't get a response as he saw everyone suddenly kneeling and prostrating.

Upon seeing that, he panickily followed suit and started praising the Great God alongside the others.

Having such a powerful deity who brought miracles after miracles, how could they not be in awe?
