"Hah! The widow's word of honor," he mocked, shaking his head in disbelief. "You are hiding something, aren't you..." he started climbing the staircase, one step after another.
"Or someone," he concluded, smiling as though he won the jackpot. Crazy!
"Are you crazy? Why would I hide anyone? Please tell me you do not believe the nonsense coming out of your mouth," I questioned, shaking my head in disbelief.
"Why? You ask, Cassandra? Let me tell you why. You hate Mario's guts so much you killed him... I mean you hired someone to kill him, then you went in there to paid them off," he remarked, reaching the same step I was on.
"I'm smarter than you know. I wouldn't have done it this openly if I had any hand in his death. Besides, didn't you threaten my friends' lives? Why would I go against someone as heartless and cruel as you are?" I reassured him. He pushed me away, heading to my room.
"Let's find out, shall we?" he shrugged, not bothered by my opinion.
